形容词和副词的比较级和最高级
大多数形容词和副词都有三个级
1) 原级: 基本结构as ... as ... “和……一样”
e.g. Lily is as tall as me. Lily和我一样高。
2) 比较级 (用于两者之间的比较)
基本结构：比较级+than...
e.g. He is smarter than I. 他比我聪明。
3) 最高级(用于三者或三者以上的比较)
基本结构: the + 最高级 + of / in ...
e.g.I’m the funniest in my class. 我是我们班最有趣的。
形容词和副词比较等级的常用结构
1. “比较级+than any other+名词+其他”
比其他任何一个……都……
该结构可与最高级结构互换
e.g. The bag is cheaper than any other bag in the store.
=The bag is the cheapest in the store.
2. “比较级+and+比较级”
越来越……
e.g. The weather is getting warmer and warmer.
3. “the + 比较级, the + 比较级”
越……，就越……
e.g. The more you practice, the better you’ll play pipa.
4. “the + 比较级 + of the two”
两者之中更……的那一个
e.g. Susan is the taller of the two girls.
5. “数词 + times + 比较级 + than”
……是……的几倍
e.g. The elephant weighs ten times more than the panda.
6. “one of the + 形容词最高级 + 复数名词”
最……之一
e.g. It is one of the best theaters in our town.
7. “the + 序数词 + 最高级 + 单数名词 + in …”
是……中的第几……
e.g. The Yellow River is the second longest river in
China.
比较级，最高级的构成
规则变化
1) 一般情况下，单音节或双音节的形容词/副词比较级＋er，最高级＋ est
clever－cleverer－cleverest
2) 以e结尾的词，比较级＋r，最高级＋st
nice－nicer－nicest
3）以辅音字母＋y结尾的，变y为i＋est
easy－easier－easiest
4)以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节，双写辅音字母+er / est
fat－fatter－fattest
5) 多音节和部分双音节的词需要在原级前＋more 构成比较级,或＋the most构成最高级

1. 比较级前可加much, a lot, a bit, a little, any, no, some, even, still等词修饰。如：
You must work much faster.
You look a lot happier than you did yesterday.
He was too tired to walk any further.
This book is even more useful than that one.
形容词和副词比较级的修饰语
2. 比较级前还可加其他表示数量的词。如：
My sister is ten years younger than me.
We reached here two days earlier than the others.
3. 形容词和副词的比较级和最高级有时可以互相转换。如：
Tom is the tallest student in the class.
= Tom is taller than any other student in the class.
= Tom is taller than all the other students in the class.
= No other students are taller than Tom.
度量的表达
1) 基数词 + 单位词 + 形容词
2) 基数词 + 单位词 + in + 名词
