描写自己最好的朋友属于描写文，其写作要点如下：(1) 内容：可以先简述好友的个人情况，如姓名、年龄等；然后重点从好友的外貌、穿着、性格等方面进行详细描写；最后可以对好友进行总体评价，让他人对其有更全面的了解。(2) 人称：以第三人称为主。(3) 时态：一般现在时。

★对John的外貌特征进行描写时，文中首先概述了他的身高、身材，然后介绍了他的发型、脸型及面部的细节特征，这些部分形成一个语义网，达到在内容上的连贯。
★在(4)中，第一句描写了 John 的脸型及面部细节特征，第二句用“很英俊的男孩”进行概括。行文时我们可将两个句子合并为含with介词短语(用来描述主语的外貌特征)的一句话，这样既保持了原句的意思，又提升了句子的简洁性。
