It was a Friday night. We were driving home from a party. The weather was awful, and the heavy rain kept falling down. Jack, my husband, was driving and my six-year-old daughter, Lisa, was sleeping in the back seat. But when we were driving up to a bridge, the water suddenly rose over our car. The next minute, we were in the middle of the flood. I woke Lisa up. One by one, we climbed to the top of the car. We were so nervous and afraid that we shouted for help. About 10 minutes later, some people nearby came and took us to a safe place.
