重点1 名词的数。
名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词。可数名词又有单数和复数之分,表示一个人或事物要用单数名词的形式; 表示两个或两个以上的人或事物用名词复数形式。
可数名词单数形式变复数形式有以下规则。
①一般情况下,在名词词尾加-s。例如:eraser→erasers,bottle→bottles。
②以x, s, ch, sh结尾的名词加-es。例如:box→boxes, sandwich→sandwiches。
③以o结尾的名词加-s或者-es。一般情况下,表示无生命的名词加-s,例如:photo→photos,zoo→zoos; 表示有生命的名词加-es,例如:hero—heroes,tomato→tomatoes; 同时,值得注意的是,有个别以o结尾的名词,不管其词意是否表示有生命,都只加-s,例如:kangaroo→
kangaroos。
④以辅音字母加y结尾的名词,变y为i再加-es; 以元音字母加y结尾的名词,后面直接加-s。例如:family → families, key→keys。
⑤以f或fe结尾的名词,变f或fe为v再加-es。例如:leaf→leaves,knife→knives。
