被动语态(一)
1.一般现在时的被动语态的用法
一般现在时的被动语态表示现阶段经常性、习惯性的被动动作,由“主语+am/is/are+及物动词的过去分词+by+动作执行者”构成。无须说明动作执行者时,可省去“by +动作执行者”。am, is, are的使用由主语的单复数形式而定。例如:
The car is made in China. 这辆车产自中国。
I am influenced by his ideas. 我受他的思想所影响。
The flowers in my garden are watered by me every day. 我每天给我花园里的花浇水。
2.一般现在时的被动语态的句式构成
肯定句: 主语+am/is/are+及物动词的过去分词+其他.
否定句: 主语+am/is/are+not+及物动词的过去分词+其他.
一般疑问句: Am/Is/Are+主语+及物动词的过去分词+其他
特殊疑问句: 疑问词+am/is/are+主语+及物动词的过去分词+其他
例如:

One day when I was 12, my mother gave me an order: walk to the public library, and borrow at least one book for the summer. This was one more method for her to help solve my strange problem—inability to read.
In the library, I found my way into the Children’s Room. I sat down on the floor and pulled a few books off the shelf. The cover of a book caught my eyes. It was a picture of a beagle (小猎犬)
which looked just like my dog. I had recently had a beagle, the first and only animal friend I ever had as a child. He was my secret sharer. But one morning, he was gone. He was given away to someone who had space and money to care for him. I never forgot my beagle. I ran my fingers over the picture of the dog on the cover. My eyes ran across the title, Amos, the Beagle with a Plan. Without opening the book, I borrowed it from the library for the summer.
Under a tree I sat. I started to read about Amos. I read very, very slowly with difficulty. Though pages were turned slowly, I got the
main idea of the story. It’s about a dog like mine who had been separated from his family. It seemed that Amos was my dog, and I was the little boy in the book. At the end of the story, he finally found his way back home. The final scene of reunion continued on and on, until my own lost dog and I were running together again in my mind.
My mother’s call returned me to the real world. I suddenly realized something: I had read a whole book, and I loved reading that book.
Though I never told my mother about my mysterious experience that summer, she saw a slow but great improvement in my classroom performance during the next year. Years later, she was proud that her son had read thousands of books, was awarded a PhD in literature, and wrote his own books, articles, poetry and fiction.

(1)each of us 意为“我们每一个人”,“each of + 名词复数”作主语,后面的谓语动词用单数。例如:

(2)review作名词,意为“回顾;检讨;述评;汇报”,常见的book review意为“书评”。也可以用作动词,意为“复习;重新考虑;回顾”。
5.We’re still influenced by Confucius’s ideas, and Shakespeare’s plays also make a lot of sense to us today. 今天孔子的思想仍然在影响着我们,莎士比亚的戏剧对我们来说也仍然很有意义。
(1) influence作名词,意为“影响”,“have/has an influence on...”意为“对……产生影响”。例如:
The sun can have an influence on the plants. 太阳能够对植物产生影响。
influence作动词,意为“影响”。“sb be influenced by... ”意为“某人被……影响”。例如:
Students are influenced by their friends. 学生们受他们的朋友的影响。
(2)make sense 意为“易理解;合情理;有意义”。英语口语中,“Make sense ”意为“你明白了吗/你知道了吗/你听懂了吗?”。回答时,应使用“Got it. /Yeah. Of course. /Thanks!”等。例如:
The movie doesn’t make any sense. 这部电影毫无意义。
It still doesn’t make sense to me. 我还是没理解。
