教材分析 学情分析 六年级的学生对于中外的名人大多数比较了解，但是由于知识的局限，大部分学生不能用英文流畅表达对伟人的认识，对于动词形式的运用学生容易出错。通过本单元Famous people这个话题，学生能深入了解和学习伟人名人事迹，从中领会并学习他们的高尚品格和敬业、爱国精神。
重点 1. 能掌握本课的词汇和短语；2. 能准确地介绍名人生平。
难点 本课的学习难点是用一般过去时描述名人生平。

教学过程 二次备课
一、意义导入 (1) Play the game Sharp Eyes.Review the phrases of Unit 5.
二、新课学习 Let’s learn(1) Look back and talk about Dr Sun Yatsen.Answer the questions about Dr Sun Yatsen.Read the passage about Dr Sun Yatsen and fill the blanks.(2) Answer the questions and know about the famous people. Who are they When were they born When did they die (3) Learn the new words of the occupations and what the famous people did. Then learn how to introduce the lives of famous people.(4) Try to talk about the famous people with the key words and the pictures.
三、拓展迁移 Practice(1) Review the occupations of the famous people and what they did.(2) Do Exercise 1 Look and find on P28.Write down the words of occupations according to the sentences.Then check the answers.
四、课堂小结 1.Key language points:wrote great music; painted flowers and animals;invented the light bulb; made many funny movies;wrote the Harry Potter books.2.Talk about the information of the famous people we learned in this lesson.
