教材分析 学情分析 六年级的学生对于中外的名人大多数比较了解，但是由于知识的局限，大部分学生不能用英文流畅表达对伟人的认识，对于动词形式的运用学生容易出错。通过本单元Famous people这个话题，学生能深入了解和学习伟人名人事迹，从中领会并学习他们的高尚品格和敬业、爱国精神。
重点 1. 能“四会”掌握本课的词汇和短语；2. 能正确理解并朗读本课课文。
难点 本课的句子较长，因此课文的朗读成为了难点，对中下生来讲，更需要帮助。

教学过程 二次备课
一、意义导入 1. Greeting.2. Present the topic of the lesson and learning aims.
二、新课学习 Presentation and practice1. Show some pictures of famous people and learn the new words “famous” and “person”: famous people = famous persons.Then, have a brief introduction about three of them.2. Introduce Dr Sun Yatsen in detail and teach the new words: “Dr”, “history”and “leader”.3. Play a video about Dr Sun Yatsen and ask pupils to think about the answer to the question “What did Dr Sun Yatsen do for the people”.Then check the answer and teach the words “free”, “tried” and the sentence “What a great man!”Show the picture of the text, then ask pupils to watch the video of the dialogue and find out the answer to these questions:Do the Chinese people love Dr Sun Yatsen (2) What do the Chinese people show their love for Dr Sun Yatsen today Check the answers, focus on “He loved the Chinese people and the Chinese people love him.” and teach “Today many streets, schools and parks have his name.”5. Listen and repeat the dialogue after the sound recording. Then read it by themselves.6. Recite the dialogue.
