The Mid- Autumn Festival is a traditional festival in China, just like Thanksgiving Day in America. It plays an important role in Chinese culture. Let me introduce it to you carefully.
It is celebrated on August 15th in lunar calendar. It's a day that families get together to celebrate the festival and they usually have a big dinner. The moon is bigger and rounder on this day. People often enjoy the moon while eating mooncakes which are the special food for this festival. There are all kinds of mooncakes with nuts, meat or something else in them. I like the festival, because I can not only enjoy delicious mooncakes, but also meet my relatives far away from me on that day.
