In the pat of Section A 1a-1c,the pictures and words are shown about ordering the food in a restaurant to present different words of food and the key sentences to talk about ordering the food.In the part of 1a, set the scene and test Ss’ knowledge and increase their vocabulary of food. In the part of 1b, help Ss to recognize the target language about ordering food in natural speech through listening. In the part of 1c, let Ss use the target language in natural speech to help Ss consolidate the key language.
学情分析 The situation of students.The target of the unit is the students of Grade 7 of Xi’an Handu No.1 School.They possess a certain language ability and foundation.Also they have initial ability to study independently, cooperate with others, and practice. Learning Status.The students have already learned some words of food and the countable noun and uncountable noun in unit 6 Do you like bananas from the first volume of Grade 7, and also learned about how to talk about price in Unit 7 How much are these socks from the first volume of Grade 7. Above all, student have already had the initial perception of the content of this unit. Existing problems.The majority of students have some difficulties in learning English who need more guidance and practice.The reading strategies and skills should be promoted and there is still problem in time controlling and abstracting the key information.In the writing part, many of the students’ writing is just like Chinese English.

导入新课 Show students the task of this unit is to open a chain restaurant named Crystal Restaurant together. And this class is the preparation period of the first restaurant about noodles. Everyone should work together to make a menu and order the food for our restaurant.

Step 1 Food choosing Show Ss the pictures and ask “Do you like bananas/salad/ice-cream ” to review the words of food they learned. Show Ss the pictures of food to help them master the new words of food. Ask students “What would you like ”. Let students choose the food for our restaurant with”I’d like…”. Teacher stick the pictures of food onto the blackboard. Step 2 Making a menu Tell students we will have 5 kinds of noodles in our restaurant. Let students choose what to put in different kinds of noodles. Ask Ss the following questions to make the menu for the restaurant. Let students choose 3 special for our restaurant. 4. Ask students to set prices for the noodles with” What’ s the price ” Step 3Staff Training Tell students my friends has a noodle house, too. And I record an audio between the customer and waiter. Let students listen and learn from them. Let students listen and check the noodles that the person orders. Let students make a conversation according to the menu of our restaurant. Step 4 Summary Step 5 Homework Review the old words about food. Master the new words about food. 3.Choose the food for the restaurant. Choose 5 kinds of noodles.
