Puzzles In Geography
教学目标：理解课文，了解联合王国形成的历史以及四个国家地理﹑文化﹑体制的特点，工业﹑人口的分布，还有英国首都的显著特色以及外来入侵者对它的深远影响。对课文当中出现的重点单词短语音形意以及他们重要用法能够了解和运用。通过对于标题的解读能够对课文的内容进行预测，快速阅读课文之后能够很快挑出课文涉及的重要内容。能够通过对课文细节内容的解读判断题目的正误。21世纪教育网版权所有

教学步骤：
Step 1 Lead in
Look at the title and tell them “ It is a kingdom that is united by several countries.” At the same time, a question will be asked “ How many countries is the UK made up of?” and then ask the students to point out the right places where the four countries appear.21教育网
通过标题很自然地引出课文内容，同时了解联合王国中四个国家的地理位置。
Step 2 Forecast
Give the students a question “If you were the writer of the passage, what will you introduce about the UK to us?” and ask them to make a prediction for the content of the text. After that, ask the students to look through the whole text and pick out what are referred to in the passage.

Look through Paragraph1 Paragraph2 Paragraph3 and do the multiple—choice exercises.
