阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该选项涂黑。
A
When it comes to perfect views, it really does take a village. Searching for the most camera-ready communities on the planet, we find four villages that fit the bill. Spend a few minutes there and you will realize that “quaint (古色古香的)” and “charming” aren’t just adjectives and that they are a way of life.
Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia
The village seems to disappear into the sky and the blue horizon. All the houses are painted white, the skies are clear, and the backdrop includes the Bay of Tunis which is only in a deeper shade of blue. It’s not surprising that the atmosphere here is a bit random, and it is also home to plenty of lively cafes and art galleries.
Wengen in Switzerland
Wonder how the world was before cars were invented Wengen, a Switzerland’s village, might just help you get the answer. Cars have been banned in this area for more than 100 years. Imagine seeing woods all around you, snow covered mountains, log cabins and the locals who have kept their Swiss culture undamaged.
Eze in France
France’s most attractive village is Eze. Seemingly frozen in time, Eze has managed to keep its old-world charm. It is the perfect melting pot of cultures because of its closeness to Nice, and today the village enjoys its rich heritage. The architecture here is so special that Walt Disney frequented this village for inspiration.
Bibury in England
Bibury was described by William Morris as “the most beautiful village in England” — known for its watercolor views. The 17th-century stone cottages and a still-working 1902 farm are some of the ancient village’s must-sees.
21.What are the tourists prevented doing in Wengen
A.Traveling around by car. B.Viewing woods everywhere.
C.Learning about Swiss culture. D.Appreciating snowy mountains.
22.Which village did Walt Disney often visit to get inspired
A.Eze in France. B.Bibury in England.
C.Wengen in Switzerland. D.Sidi Bou Said in Tunisi.
23.What do the four villages have in common
A.They have modern architecture.
B.They are all situated by the sea.
C.They have beautiful stone cottages.
D.They own old-world and amazing scenery.

In recent years, little free libraries of all shapes and sizes have popped up. Often built by community members, they could be found on street corners and the sidewalks across the United States, hoping to share their book collections with their neighbors. Minneapolis, Minnesota, even hosted the first Little Free Library Festival, where book fans came together to promote literacy (读写能力)in their communities.
For the most part, little free libraries have more in common with book sharing shelves in hotels, local parks, coffee shops and other public spaces than the traditional public library. Based on the rule of "take a book, leave a book," these little libraries can take many forms from birdhouse-like wooden structures to redesigned newspaper selling machines, Robert Wirsing writes for the Bronx Times.
The little free library organization began when a citizen of Hudson, Wisconsin, named Todd Bol built a little one-room schoolhouse, filled it with books and placed it in his front yard to honor his mother who passed away in 2009. Together with a local educator named Rick Brooks, the two began placing little free libraries across Wisconsin and sharing the idea with people across the country.
"Something we are eager for in this information age is that connection between people," Bol tells Margret Aldrich for Book Riot. "I want to show how Little Free Library is about readers inspiring readers. It goes on and on."
While Little Free Libraries seem like a harmless means to promote literacy by sharing books with neighbors, a few of the roadside landing libraries have caused minor legal problems. officials in Los Angeles and Shreveport, Louisiana, have told some citizens that their homemade libraries broke city roles and that they would have to remove them to avoid being fined.
Still, little free libraries have been well accepted by their commnunities. For anyone interested in making their own at home, the organization has posted helpful tips and guides for building the little book lending boxes in their neighborhoods.
24.What can we know about the little free libraries in America
A.They are state-owned.
B.They are popular nationally.
C.They are set up to sell books.
D.They help those with no books to read.
25.What is a common character of little free libraries
A.They lie in many public places.
B.They share a large collection of books.
C.They compete with traditional public libraries.
D.They exist mainly in the form of wooden houses.
26.What is Todd Bol's primary aim of building a library
A.To remember his dead mother.
B.To help people form a habit of reading.
C.To set an example to other communities.
D.To share his knowledge, with other citizens.
27.What does Todd Bol think of the little free libraries
A.They cause minor legal problems.
B.They should continue to exist.
C.They mean a lot to community members.
D.They should be supported by the government.

We have heard some interesting ways that 5G wireless(无线的) technology might change our lives in the future.
5G technology promises the internet speeds between 50 to 100 times faster than 4G systems. While 5G is set to be used in some limited areas of America this year, much of the world is not expected to receive widely used service until 2023.
One project in Britain, however, is already testing this super fast technology on an unlikely group Internet users—cows. The project was developed by American technology company Cisco Systems, Inc. It also receives money from the British government. Cisco says the program seeks to explore the future of 5G in countryside areas around the world.
Testing areas were set up at farms in 3 countryside areas of England. The cows are equipped with 5G devices(装置)that connect to a robotic milking(挤奶) system, which uses sensors(传感器) and machine learning to
fully automate the process. System designers say technology takes over after a cow feels ready to be milked and walks towards an automatic gate. During the milking, machines give food for the cow as a reward.
Other 5G technology tools include automated brushes that turn on when the cow rubs up(蹭) against them. Sensors also control the amount of light to the cows living areas depending on the weather. And, an automatic feeding system makes sure the animals always have enough to eat.
Duncan Forbes, head of a government-funded agricultural engineering organization, told Reauters that the project shows the farm’s cow operation can be greatly improved with 5G technology and that the experiment provided strong evidence that 5G technology can be widely used in the future, not just on farms in Britain, but in countryside across the world.
28.What is the aim of Cisco Systems Inc’s project
A.To win financial support from the British government
B.To test the effects of 5G technology on animals
C.To promote its technological development in Britain
D.To expand the future use of 5G in countryside
29.What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph 3 refer to
A.The project B.The company
C.The technology D.The group
30.What can we learn about 5G according to the text
A.It is no worse than 4G in terms of speed
B.It is already widely used all over the world
C.It has made improvements in operating the cows
D.It is based on sensors and machine learning
31.In which part of a newspaper may this text appear
A.Entertainment B.Lifestyle

Due to social events in recent years, the relationship between social media and teenagers mental health has been under heated discussion.
On Sept 30 a British court decided that content on social media platforms contributed to the depression of 14-year-old Molly Russell. Russell interacted with 2,100 posts related lo pessimistic, self-harm in the six months,
leading up to her depression, reported the Observer website.
The correlation has also been proved by science. A study in 2019 showed that the frequent use of social media by teenagers can lead to a decrease in their mental health.

But she said that the users’ power to regulate videos is still limited. “It is ultimately the responsibility of the social media platforms to filter out content that is potentially harmful.” She also noticed that the age of social media users has become increasingly younger. Society should pay attention to this, she said. “Since it’s not possible to cut off access to social media for younger users, why not introduce a ‘supervision mode’ with which parents can regulate the content to be viewed by teenagers beforehand ” she said.
Wu Chengyu, 18, studies at Tianjin Experimental High School. He said that several years ago he came across a game that lures teenagers to self-abuse and depression. He quickly chose to ignore it so he wouldn’t be influenced. This is the same way he reacts when exposed to negative content on social media.
In Wu’s opinion, teenagers today should improve their social media literacy (素养), telling real from fake and good from bad. “Also, everyone can be a content creator on social media.” he said, “We should all strengthen our awareness of ethics”.

【原文】 M: The Moon—while it is more than a fair distance away from us—is important to our survival. While it may not be depended upon in terms of the light or glow it gives off, it controls our tides. It’s also been the focus of much attention lately with the release of Damien Chazelle’s movie First Man, which looks at Neil Armstrong’s journey to the satellite back in 1969.
China is reportedly planning to create and launch their very own “moon” in the name of helping low light in city areas by 2021. Built with wings not unlike solar panels, it’s thought thatthe man-made moon will be able to focus on certain areas and zones in need of light.
According to local sources, the artificial moon will reportedly aim to offer up to eight times the brightness of our natural satellite. It’s an interesting idea—one that could really catch on, if successful—though at present, other details are in fact few. The Moon already provides us with a certain amount of light—and it is always a welcoming presence in the night sky—but will a second, brighter moon help China with its plans to cut down on street lighting Who’s to say—as it is not presently clear how such a moon will be launched, maintained or even kept in the air
