三、教学内容分析
情态动词(Modal verbs)是本身有一定的词义,表示语气的单词。但是不能独立作谓语,只能和动词原形一起构成谓语。情态动词用在行为动词前,表示说话人对这一动作或状态的看法或主观设想。 情态动词虽然数量不多,但用途广泛,主要有下列: can (could), may (might), must, need, ought to, dare (dared), shall (should), will (would)
常见情态动词的用法。
1). can cannot 2).may may not 3). must must not
3. 正确使用上述情态动词来表达对他人的建议、情绪态度和要求。
四、学情分析
优点
情态动词的专项学习虽然在本册书是第一次出现,但是在七年级上期的学习过程中学生都有接触过这种时态。所以这个阶段的学生已经基本建立了这个语法的概念。
(二) 不足
学生对不同的情态动词的区别和不同用法比较陌生,这些知识点对某些学生可能会造成一定的困难。

七、教学设计理念
义务教育英语课程课标标准(2022版)指出:课程内容设计秉持在体验中学习、在实践中运用、在迁移中创新的学习理念,倡导学生围绕真实情景和真实问题,激活已知,参与到指向主题意义探究的学习理解、应用实践和迁移创新等一系列相互关联、循环递进的语言学习和运用活动中。坚持学思结合,引导学生在学习理解类活动中获取、梳理语言和文化知识,建立知识间的关联;坚持学用结合,引导学生在应用实践类活动中内化所学语言和文化知识,加深理解并初步运用;坚持学创结合,引导学生在迁移创新类活动中联系个人实际,运用所学解决现实中的问题,形成正确的态度和价值判断。本节课根据七年级年龄特征和认知规律,旨在通过与学生的生活贴近、易于激发学生的已有认知的情态动词学习,通过了解和学习情态动词的意义和用法,正确使用上述情态动词来表达对他人的建议、情绪态度和要求。

We use the modal verbs can and cannot (can’t) to say we are able or unable to do something. Work out the rules about modal verbs. talk about the sentence structures about modal verbs. 5.Hi and Lo are talking about themselves. What are they saying Read their conversation and then complete the statements below with can or cannot. 6. Exercises 1.Ss try to answer the questions about Modal verbs. 2.Ss summarize the first type of modal verbs. 3.Ss find out the modal verbs and the rules. 4.Ss summarize the second type of modal verbs. 5.Ss work out the rules by themselves and give more examples. 6.do some exercises about modal verbs. Develop students’ ability of feeling, thinking, contrasting and summarizing the grammar phenomenon. .
第三环节 输入观察探索归纳(二) Step3: Presentation 2 (Modal verbs: may and may not) 1.Set the dialogue situation model and introduce modal verbs may and may not. 2.Talk about the definiton. We use may and may not to ask for and give permission. In less formal situations, some people like to use can and cannot (can’t) for the same purpose. 3.talk about the sentence structures about modal verbs. Work out the rules about modal verbs. Exercises: Daisy is not feeling well today. Benny it at home with her. Read their conversation below. Fill in the blanks with may or can. 1. Learn about the usage and sentence structures about modal verbs: may and may not 2.Book Exercise Develop students’ ability of feeling, thinking, contrasting and summarizing the grammar phenomenon.

第五环节 运用输出(四) Step5 : Practice & Output Ask Ss to think of three questions and summarize the rules of modal verbs. Ask Ss to correct five sentences. 3. Require Ss to choose the correct answers. Ss answer questions and summarize the rules of modal verbs. Ss correct the sentences. Ss choose the correct answers. Cultivate students’ ability of applying the present continuous tense to daily life.
