一、单元语篇内容和主题意义
(一) 主题语境
第七单元 “Poems”,以“诗歌”为话题,以描写普通人生活和工作为主线,以不同形式的诗歌体裁贯穿在本单元各板块。该单元主题属于《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》“人与社会”范畴下的“社会服务与人际沟通”主题群,子主题内容为“常见职业与人们的生活”、“对社会有突出贡献的人物及其事迹”、“志愿服务与公共服务” 和“和谐家庭与社区生活”。

Writing 诗歌 写作板块分为两个不同层次的要求,练习A 要去学生仿照范例,用诗歌介绍班级的4名同学;B部分要求学生朗读自己创作的诗歌,并让学生猜出诗中描述的同学。 引导学生发现身边同学身上的闪光点,感受范例诗歌的基调和韵脚,用富有想象力的语言创作诗歌描述身边同学,并注意押韵和整首诗歌风格的统一。
More Practice 诗歌 介绍环卫工人和警察工作情况的短诗。 学会欣赏英文诗歌的韵律美,并对社区上提供公共服务的普通人表达敬意和感激之情。
Study skill / / 了解常见的英文缩写词,利用缩写词提高记笔记的效率。
Culture Corner 诗歌 李白的《静夜思》英文版 比较中英诗歌的异同,体会中文古诗的优美意境,增强民族自豪感。
本单元主题大观念是:了解普通人的工作与生活,对默默为我们日常生活提供着公共服务的普通人表达敬意和感激之情,培养积极向上的生活态度。
在本单元各模板块的语篇里,学生已经比较充分了解到英文诗歌的基本知识,但是对于中文和英文诗歌的异同点探究还不够深入。另外,本单元诗歌以人为视角展开,诗歌风格较为单一。基于以上语篇分析,我选取了中华经典古诗,李白的《将进酒(节选)》的英文版作为A篇,B篇是一首以环境事物细节描写为主视角介绍公交车司机的诗歌,以满足学生比较中英诗歌的异同、体会中英古诗的意境和了解更多诗歌的创作风格的需要。

A Chinese poem in English has a different style but the similar meaning with the original. Try to find some suitable words to complete the rhymes. Share your work with your classmates.

Sky-high;back-black; delight-moonlight; vain-again.
Task Three: Li Bai felt very hopeful, excited, confident when he wrote the poem. He wanted to tell us that everyone has his own gift which can be helpful to the world.

A minibus driver called Li
A minibus driver called Li,
Is the driver of bus thirty-three.
It lets out smoke.
Don't breathe it, you'll choke!
Disgusting! Don't you agree
He'll often get angry and rage,
As his minibus rattles with age.
At the front there are rags,
A large bucket, and bags,
And a small singing-bird in a cage!
It's coloured half-green and half-white;
And only looks clean in the night!
But sometimes he'll dust it,
And clean out the bucket,
To prevent it becoming a sight!
When you enter, the fare you must pay.
