When looking at a pair of old chopsticks, most people would see nothing but waste. But Felix Bock would see boxes, tables, shelves and so on. In 2016, Felix Bock, a doctoral student at the University of British Columbia, Canada, found out people threw away about 100,000 pairs of chopsticks every day in Vancouver alone. He thought he needed to do something. So he started the company ChopValue in the same year. The company collected used chopsticks from restaurants, schools and shopping centers in Canada and the US and turned them into furniture and other artworks. Now in its fifth year, with the rapid growth of the company, Bock employs (雇用) 40 people. By using his special press machines, he has recycled 32 million pairs of chopsticks. Bock takes pride in his work. And he hopes the idea behind ChopValue will help people rethink what they see as waste. “I believe every small action can help,” he said. “And I am happy that my business provides a new way for people.” Hundreds of restaurants across North America pay a small sum (金额) of money to Bock for the recycling of their used chopsticks. A. 回答问题
请阅读下面短文,根据所提供的 信息,回答5个问题。要求所写答案语法正确、语义完整切题,并把答案写在横线上。
In America, Asia, and Africa, there's a special kind of forest—the cloud forest(云雾林). Cloud forests are usually found from 500 meters to 4,000 meters above sea level. They experience rainfall, but they also get water straight from the air. Cloud forests are very important to both people who live nearby and the animals and plants living there. They provide water to nearby villages and cities. People drink the water, use it for their daily lives. In Kenya, people even use water from cloud forests to produce electricity. Although cloud forests only make up 2.5 percent of the world's rainforests, they also have many animals and plants. Unfortunately, cloud forests now face many problems. Local poor people cut down trees to grow food and use the wood to heat their homes and cook. Once cloud forests are cleared, the cloud cover, which is important and necessary to the growth of these forests, goes away. Another bigger worry is that the temperature increases gradually. If world temperatures rise, cloud forests will have to move up to a higher place where the temperatures are cooler. But some cloud forests on mountain tops with nowhere to climb will die out. Scientists fear we might lose cloud forests, along with the water and other services they provide. Some governments have taken action to protect cloud forests. They make laws against cutting down trees in the cloud forests. They provide the local people with other ways to get food and energy. They also educate the local people on how cloud forests provide fresh water and what will happen when they are cleared. Cloud forests are too valuable to lose. We must save them—plus the animals and plants they support—before it's too late.
1. How many meters above sea level are cloud forests usually found?

2. Why are cloud forests important to people in the nearby villages and cities?

3. Where do people use water from cloud forests to produce electricity, in Kenya or in America?

Giving Pandas a Good Life
What animal has six fingers and wears a black and white coat? Yes, it's the panda! Pandas are so popular because they are cute and shy. They are also friendly to people. They like eating bamboo. It seems that they like sleeping all day if possible.
It is known that pandas are endangered. For one thing, many people cut down lots of trees so they may have terrible living conditions. For another, they may die of illnesses easily because many of them are out of protection.
I hope the government can build more natural panda homes. Also, it is necessary that everyone should
treat them as our friends and protect their homes.
