模拟练习
02
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Andy and Eric were two friends who often played together. One day, on their way back home from school, they rode slowly, talking about the fishing trip that they had planned for the coming summer vacation. While turning a corner, Andy cried out, “A fight near the lake! Let’s go to watch!”
“No,” said Eric. “Let’s go home and not get involved in their quarrel. Stay away from it, or we may get into trouble. What’s more, our parents are waiting for us at home and I don’t want them to worry about me.”
“You are a coward (胆小鬼).” Andy laughed at him. Eric was a little annoyed, but he didn’t say anything, just riding home directly. The next day, he went to school as usual.
However, Andy had told all the class that Eric was too timid to do anything brave. So the whole class laughed at him a lot. And from then on, they looked down on Eric, unwilling to play with him. Eric was very sad but he didn’t blame Andy for his being rude to him, because he learned that true courage is shown most in bearing misunderstanding when it was not deserved, and that he ought to be afraid of nothing but doing wrong. Therefore, he ignored their teasing, studying even harder. What was different was that he had to go home alone.
Several days later, Andy together with his new friends was riding home. They were so absorbed in their conversation that they were unaware of everything else around them.
Suddenly, Andy noticed an unusual buzz of noise. He came to a stop and looked curiously up to the heavens. What he saw shocked and terrified him. A huge swarm of bees filled the sky like a black cloud and the noisy mass seemed to be heading angrily towards them.
“Bees!” someone shouted. The boys were caught in great panic. All of them except Andy rode as fast as possible to escape. Andy was too scared to move.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Andy stopped there, with the buzz louder and louder.
Dragging themselves out of the lake, they struggled up to the shore.
话题:助人篇
主要内容: 肯定因为Eric不陪他去看河面上的打斗而生气,处处在背地里说他的坏话。而当危难来临之际 却是Eric伸手相救。
参考范文:
Andy stopped there, with the buzz louder and louder. Just at that moment, Eric rode rapidly towards him like an arrow. He stopped, threw off his clothes and wrapped up their faces. After that, he shouted to Andy, “This way! There is a lake ahead!” With no time to waste, they rode furiously in the direction of the lake, the crazy bees following them. Finally, they made it to the lake. Off their bikes and into the cool water they lived, disappearing below the surface and away from the savage insects. After holding their breath for as long as they could, they came up for air and noticed the bees had gone.
Dragging themselves out of the lake, they struggled up to the shore. Andy looked at Eric gratefully and was ashamed of having called Eric a coward. He realized that Eric had true courage. He hugged Eric, saying “sorry” to Eric repeatedly for his rude behavior and asked for his forgiveness. Eric forgave him happily. He and Andy were friends again and they went home together as usual. From that, Andy learned what true courage was: never be afraid to do good, but always fear to do evil.
Zipping Out of Fear
“Breakfast time!” I quickly put on my clothes and rushed down the stairs.
“ Come on, we don’t want to be late!”My mom said. The aroma (香味)of pancakes filled the kitchen, making the room warm. I looked out of the window. The sun was out, making a warm and bright morning.
“Today’s the day, zip lining (高空滑索)!” My dad said, sounding very enthusiastic early this morning.
Today we would go zip lining. The excitement built up inside of me as breakfast went on. After breakfast, we set out in my dad’s car. Half way through the ride, the sun grew hot, and the leather on the seats burned my legs. I thought about the trip, how my parents went but not me. It was my first time experiencing something like this. I also thought about my fear of heights, one thing I tried to get rid of multiple times. It got in the way of so many fun activities, like roller coasters at Kings Island.
We were basically there by now, the sun still blazing hot. We pulled up to big sign where our instructor waited for us.
“Hi y’all!”said our instructor cheerfully.
“So, have y’all done this before ”
My parents nodded but I shook my head. Our instructor went over safety instructions while we each put on a safety harness (安全带). I started to get nervous. A never ending roller coaster of excitement and anxiousness built inside of me. I looked down the cliff. My heart skipped a beat when the wind howled, blowing leaves and twigs in the trees. My legs started to shake.

Paragraph 1:
“Alright y’all, time to hit the trails!” said the instructor with too much enthusiasm.
Paragraph 2:
My turn finally came.
“Alright y’all, time to hit the trails!” said the instructor with too much enthusiasm. Everyone lined up with excitement in front of the cliff. They were chattering briskly(happily) and everyone except me, seemed to wear a confident look on their faces. The hot sun was baking the ground, sweat streamed down my burning face, fear and unwillingness filled every inch of my heart. I was on the point to escape, when a cute pet laid on my shoulders. It was the instructor, “Hi, little girl! Don’t be afraid, this is a very fun game, of course, it’s very safe. Be brave and enjoy it!” He ruffled my hair and encouraged me. I squeezed a flicker of smile and said “thank you” to him in a deep voice. Still, I’m afraid but ready to give a try.
My turn finally came. I firmed my lip into a line and paced slowly to the cliff. My parents were behind me. “You can do it!” they said in a determined voice. Gathering up all my courage, I bounced off the cliff and dived into the sky. Wind ran through my body, I felt like I was a bird. The feeling of the zip lining was so amazing, fear and nervousness vanished, my heart was filled with joy and gratitude. Thanks to all those people who encourage me to challenge the difficulties, and always be brave to try new things. Therefore, roller coaster, I’m coming!
thanks
