They touch noses!教学设计
本单元的对话选取了初次见面和表达问候时的身势语为题材。玲玲所在学校即将迎来一批俄罗斯来访教师,玲玲和贝蒂一次展开对话,讨论了俄罗斯人、美国人、印度人以及新西兰毛利人不同的身势语。与国外师生的交流互动在中国的许多学校以及越来越普遍。虽然我校是一所乡镇初中,目前没有这方面的活动,但是通过学习本课,学生可以接触到不同国家在见面时所用的身势语,了解不同国家间的交往礼仪,开阔视野,提高英语学习热情,这对他们今后的学习和生活十分有帮助。另外,身势语也有助于学生在日常生活中更好地与家人、同学、朋友交流,加深亲情和友谊。
为帮助学生走进文本,加深学生对身势语的体验,特制定以下教学目标:
一、学习目标
(一)语言知识目标
1.功能:介绍不同国家的身势语;
2.词汇:bow, kiss, shake hands, smile, British, German, Japanese, Russian, visitor, Russia, what, nod, head, hug, each other, India, together, Maori, touch, nose
3.语音:识别并正确朗读/t?/、/?/、/pl/、/fr/、/br/
(二)语言技能目标
1. 听:能够听懂有关身势语的对话;
2. 读:能够读懂简单的介绍不同国家身势语的短文;
3. 说:能够运用所学的身势语与不同国家的人们打招呼;
(三)学习策略
1. 自学策略:能体会、关注不同国家的文化在身势语上体现出的差别;
2. 合作学习策略:注意从他人的演示中汲取知识;
(四)文化意识
能够尝试比较不同国家身势语的异同,通过身势语了解世界不同地方的风俗习惯
(五)情感态度
通过阅读有关身势语的文章,提高对英语的学习兴趣,学会尊重他人,尊重各民族不同的风俗文化。
二、教学重难点
1. shake hands, kiss, smile, hug, put hands together, nod the heads, touch noses等词汇和短语的用法。
2. 学生能够运用本课所学的词汇和短语,介绍中国人、俄罗斯人、美国人、印度人以及新西兰毛利人不同的身势语,并比较不同国家的文化在身势语上体现出的差别。

四、教学设想
1.身势语是一种无形的语言,都是文化的一部分,通过学习本课,学生能够学会在日常生活和国际交流中化解误会,促进理解。
2.不同的民族,身势语有差异,也有相同点。即使同样的身势语,含义也不尽相同。因此,在国际交流中,学生应遵循入乡随俗的原则,充分了解和尊重各民族的文化风俗,使用恰当的身势语。
