三、语法聚焦。
一般过去时
一般过去时表示在过去某个时间或某段时间内发生的动作或存在的
状态。
例：My father worked in Shanghai last year.我爸爸去年在上海工
作。
1.构成。
（1）规则动词过去式的变化规则。
类别 构成方法 例子
一般的动词 直接加-ed want—wanted play—played
以字母e结尾的动词 直接加-d hope—hoped live—lived
以重读闭音节结尾 的动词，末尾只有 一个辅音字母 先双写这个辅 音字母，再加- ed stop—stopped shop—shopped
以辅音字母加y结尾 的动词 变y为i，再加- ed study—studied worry—worried
（2）不规则动词的过去式变化各异，没有统一的规则，但也并非
一点规律都没有。下面是部分动词过去式的记忆规律。
①动词过去式与动词原形一样，如let—let、put—put、cut—cut。
②把i改为a，如swim—swam、sing—sang、begin—began。
③过去式以ought和aught结尾的单词，如bring—brought、buy—
bought、think—thought、teach—taught。
④中间去e，末尾加t，如feel—felt、keep—kept、sleep—slept、
sweep—swept。
⑤把i改为o，如ride—rode、drive—drove、write—wrote。
⑥把ow/aw改为ew，如know—knew、grow—grew、throw—threw、
draw—drew。
⑦以d结尾的动词，把d改为t，如build—built、lend—lent、send—
sent、spend—spent。
（3）系动词be的过去式有两种形式：主语是第一、第三人称单数
形式时用was，其他用 were。
2.时间状语（标志词）。常见的时间状语有yesterday、a moment
ago （刚才）、yesterday morning、last night/week、the day before
yesterday （前天）、just now （刚才）、“in+过去的时间
（如in 2020）”、in the past等。
3.四种基本句型。
