rapid adj. “快速的；飞快的”，表达“发生或做得极快，用时短暂”，与fast, quick同为近义词，但更加正式。经常与rapid搭配使用的名词包括： change, growth, increase, rise, decline, progress, development,improvement等
注意： 在rapid一词的使用中，常用于描述事物及环境变化的短时和快速。
