how long与现在完成时连用时,谓语动词要用延续性动词,如stay, live, work, wait等, 答语中的时间段前要用for。例如:
(1) —How long have you waited here 你在这等多久了

(2) —How long has he worked in the hospital
他在这个医院工作多久了
—For ten years.十年了。
如果是buy, borrow等短暂性动词,可分别变为get, keep与how long连用。 例如:
