Lots of people love to keep pets, but they don’t know how to communicate with their pets. 16 If your answer is “yes”, here are some tips for you.
17 Your pet may not exactly understand your words, but it can at least pick up something in your voice. For example, if you speak with it in a cold and hard voice, it might realize that you are unhappy with it.

Falling on March 5th this year, Jingzhe, or the “the Wakening of Insects”, is one of the 24 solar terms in the Chinese lunar calendar. 21
The beginning of March brings some unusual weather, as temperatures rise and rainfall comes with thunderstorms. As the weather gets warmer and the air becomes dry, people may feel their mouths and tongues dry, which can cause colds or coughs. 25 They can make our mouths a little wet and protect our dry throats. People in China also have various methods of preparing pears so people can taste pears easily in spring.

We can see circles, squares and triangles (三角形) everywhere in our daily life. 36 Much like colors, different shapes can tell us something about the characters.
The round shape often brings us the idea of things in nature, like the Sun, flowers, raindrops and so on. 37 All these things make us feel happy and warm. This is why so many cartoon characters bodies — heroes,
kids, good people — are round in shape, because circles mean goodness, happiness and friendliness.
Squares show something man-made or old-fashioned. In the cartoon called Up (飞屋环游记), Carl, an elderly man, has a square face and wears square glasses, while Russell, an 8-year-old boy with a round face, always wears round medals. 38 Carl is stubborn (执拗的) and lonely while Russell is cute and full of energy.
The angriest shape is the triangle. Look at the bad guys in cartoons. 39 Because triangles don’t easily fall down, characters designed in this way are usually difficult to deal with.

Use non-verbal(非语言)communication. Your non-verbal communication is just as important as verbal communication. Non-verbal communication is often used to teach your pet to do a certain activity. 18 When you teach your dog to sit, you would actually use both verbal and non-verbal communication(hand signals)to give it the “sit order”.
Don’t punish your pet. Punishing your pet is never a good idea. Punishment can make your pet afraid of you. 19 However, some pets like cats, can not make any connection between your punishment and the behavior you punish them for. 20

How is the solar term Jingzhe related to insects
Falling on March 5th this year, Jingzhe, or the “the Wakening of Insects”, is one of the 24 solar terms in the Chinese lunar calendar. 21
The beginning of March brings some unusual weather, as temperatures rise and rainfall comes with thunderstorms. According to classic Chinese writings, this thunder would awaken insects that had been sleeping for the whole winter. 22 Soon, flowers with different colours appear on trees while birds sing happily from trees to branches.

24 It is thought to be healthy to do so when the weather is changing. As the weather gets warmer and the air becomes dry, people may feel their mouths and tongues dry, which can cause colds or coughs. 25 They can make our mouths a little wet and protect our dry throats. People in China also have various methods of preparing pears so people can taste pears easily in spring.
A.They rise up from the earth and many other animals also make their first appearance of the year.

This is why so many cartoon characters bodies — heroes, kids, good people — are round in shape, because circles mean goodness, happiness and friendliness.
40 So, next time you see a film, pay attention to the shapes and you will know what the characters are like.
A.These shapes show differences between the characters.
B.But have you thought about their meanings in cartoons
C.They are all drawn with plenty of points, like Shen Gongbao in Ne Zha.

So what did people do before there were maps Well, it was quite easy to use natural signs like mountains and rivers. 47 For example, the next village is a three-hour ride.
In the earliest maps, people didn’t draw marks to show directions. 48 The sky was a lot clearer without light pollution. When towns and cities were built, people drew road maps and gave correct distance and directions.
