Unit 2 What a day第三课时
一、Teaching contents:
Sound time, culture time & cartoon time。
二、Teaching aims:
1、能唱歌曲Rain, rain, go away。
2、能在自主阅读的基础上,朗读、表演Cartoon time中的故事;提高自主提问、合作交流、解决问题的能力。
3、能正确读出字母组合ear的发音,并能体会语句韵脚。
4、了解不规则动词过去式构成及其读音,能用一般过去式陈述句描述图片或过去发生的事。
5、在听、说、读、写活动中,提高英语日记的语言积累与表达能力。
三、Teaching focal points:
1、能在自主阅读的基础上,朗读、表演Cartoon time中的故事,提高自主提问、合作交流、解决问题的能力。
2、能正确读出字母组合ear的发音。
3、了解不规则动词过去式构成及其读音,能用一般过去式陈述句描述图片或过去发生的事。

Step1. Warm up
Greetings.
T:What day is today What day was yesterday What’s the weather like today What was the weather like yesterday
2. Ask and answer:
(1)T: Last week we read Yang Ling’s diary. It was Sunday. What day did Yang Ling have Why She couldn’t eat any food. And her clothes was wet too. She felt very bad .So she said :What a day!3. T: This class we’ll continue studying Unit 2 What a day.
Step 2. Song time
1. Look and guess.
T: Yang Ling’s day was a bad day . She was unhappy! Look at this boy. He is our new friend Johnny. How about his day You can guess.
Johnny had a day , I think .(happy ,unhappy ,nice ,bad..)
(学生自由猜一猜。)
T: Let’s listen to his singing.
2. T: Was it a good day for Johnny Why
S1: Because it was a rainy day. He wanted to play.
T: Could he play basketball
So he wanted the rain go away.
3. Listen and sing.
(1)学生自读歌词,提出生词,教师作解答。
(2) Read together.
(3) Sing together.
Step 3. Sound time
T: Johnny couldn’t go outside to play. He was sad. He had a sad day. Look at Tonny’s family. Please guess What day did they have
They had a ...day,I think. (happy, interesting, exciting, wonderful)
T: What did they do (They had a party and cheered together)
T:Why did they cheer (Because the New Year is nearly here.)
When the New Year is coming ,we always cheer to welcome to the New Year. Teach: cheer
T: Look at the words , can you read What can you find
3. Read and find the words with “ear”. Read correctly.
4. Give more words with “ear”. Try to read the words. (Write tear gear fear clear beer)
6. Exercise: Put the words into the correct baskets. T: Here are two baskets .One is ,the other is .Can you put the words into the correct basket
Read together.
Step4. Cartoon time
1. T: It wasn’t a good day for Johnny. He felt unhappy. How about Sam and Bobby Look at the pictures.You can guess Sam /Bobby had a day , I think.
2.(学生默读,并提出问题。)Open your books ,read by yourselves,then ask some about the story.
Questions: Why did Bobby look sad
Where did Bobby fly his kite first
Where did Bobby fly his kite then
What happened finally ....
Learn: What happened Means what’s wrong What’s the matter
3. Learn pictures one by one.
(1) T: Why was Bobby so sad
(呈现第一幅图,学习句子及新词。)He lost his new kite.
Learn: lost-lose not box-lost 动词过去式 动词原形
lose (who whose ) Look at Liu Tao .He lost his keys.
He couldn’t open the door.
T:Where did Bobby fly his kite first (In the park)
Where did Bobby fly his kite then (On the hill)
Why did they change the place ( Because it wasn’t windy in the park.) As we know, if isn’t windy ,we can’t fly kites.
(学生找出第二幅图中相关句子:This morning…学习新词组:climb up。)So Bobby and Tina climbed up the hill to fly the kite.
Learn: climb--climbed climb up
(3) T: What happened then
(呈现第三幅图,朗读并理解句子及词汇含义。学习新词hold onto。)It was windy on the hill. They could fly the kite. But what happened then ( The kite flew too high, they couldn’t hold onto it. It flew away. Bobby was very sad.
Learn : hold onto
(4) T: But Bobby was happy at last. Why
(Ss learn to say the word of “found”. house cloud) Sam found it.Where did Sam find it (near the hill)
4. Listen and read. Let’s read after the computer, pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation.
5. Watch the cartoon and enjoy it.
6.Then try to act out the story in pairs..
6. Read and write.
(1) 同桌两人分别阅读,完成Bobby和Sam的日记填空。
