第1课时 Part A Let’s talk & Let’s play
教学内容
Let’s talk 学生能够在图片、PPT和教师的帮助下,理解对话大意。学生能够按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话,并在小组中进行角色扮演。学生能够在情景中,运用句型“Can I help you ” “Can I try…on Size…, please.”。学生能够在情景中,运用句型“These…are nice.”“They’re too… ”描述某物品。学生能够在语境中,借助图片等理解“try on, size, of course, too, just”的意思,并正确发音。
Let’s play 学生能够进一步巩固购物时需要用到的核心句型,复习巩固衣物类词汇。
教学目标
(一)语言知识目标
1.学生能够在情景中,运用句型“Can I help you ” “Can I try…on Size…, please.”。
2.学生能够在情景中,运用句型“These…are nice.”“They’re too…”描述某物品。

Step 1: Warm up

Use the word cards to review the words about clothes.
Step 2: Presentation

T: Look! These are old shoes. Whose shoes are they
Ss: They are John’s.
T: Yes, they are too old. So John’s mum takes him to buy new shoes. They are going shopping.
Write down the topic “Shopping” on the blackboard. Teach the word “shopping”.

2. Look and predict
Show the three pictures. (课件出示:Let’s talk图片)
Let students look at the pictures carefully.
Question 1: Are the shoes too small for John at first
Question 2: Does John buy the right shoes
3. Watch and answer
T: Look at these shoes, they have different sizes.
For example, my shoes are size 38. What size are your shoes
S1: Size 35.
S2: Size 36.
Write down “size” on the blackboard.
T: Look! John and his mum are at a shoe shop. This is the shop assistant. What will the shop assistant say to John and his mum
Play the first sentence of the cartoon. (出示课件)
Write down the sentence “Can I help you ” on the blackboard.
Help students read and understand the sentence.
T: Today John’s mum wants to buy a pair of new shoes for John.

Students watch the cartoon and answer. (出示动画)

Let students act as the shop assistant and ask the teacher, “Can I help you ”
T: Yes. Can I try on these shoes Size 6, please.
Students ask and answer in pairs and act it out.

5.Read and answer
T: Now John is trying on size 6 shoes. Are the shoes OK
Students read the dialogue in picture 2 by themselves and answer. (学生自主阅读)
Ss: No. They are too small.
Present the picture to help students understand the sentence “It’s too small.” (课件出示:鞋太小穿不上的图片)
T: What size will John try this time
Ss: Size 7.
6.Watch and answer
T: Now John is trying on size 7 shoes. Are the shoes OK
Students watch the cartoon and answer. (出示动画)
Ss: Yes. They’re just right.
Present the picture to help students understand the word “too” and the phrase “just right”. (出示课件)
Students practice in pairs like this:
