Yosemite National Park
Yosemite is all about restoration this year. This month the park's main corridor is being repaired. The park's gallery reopened to the public in April after being remodeled to allow full accessibility for the disabled. Even John Muir, known as the father of the national parks, is being revived(使复活)by the actor Lee Stetson, who will answer the audience questions about the park and its history at the Yosemite Theater.
Petrified Forest National Park
Petrified Forest National Park is now mapping self-guided hikes to its more remote destinations, in part to remind visitors that the parks are theirs to wander. In August, a new field institute will begin offering classes led by geologists, photographers and other experts. And next year, you will see electric vehicle charging stations at the north and south entrances of the park.
Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is to begin managing a new campground on Maine's Schoodic Peninsula this fall. The site will offer almost 100 recreational vehicles and tent sites, as well as new hiking and biking trails connected to Gouldsboro Village and existing park trails leading to the peninsula's tip.
Mesa Verde National Park
Wetherill Mesa in Mesa Verde National Park will have an extended season this year(through mid-October), giving cyclists much time to enjoy new access to the park's six-mile Long House Loop, a paved path formerly used for tram service, and the backcountry routes on the park's most popular hike. Grand Canyon National Park is consistently rated as one of the best national parks in the US and is one of those places that are crowded throughout the year. Camping in the Grand Canyon gives you a totally different feel. You'll get more room, more silence and more time to enjoy the wide-open spaces. Why should you camp on the edge of the Grand Canyon The night sky is beyond compare, not to mention the sunrise and sunset.
There is a beautiful unmarked trail (小路) nearby. It winds through the trees and along the south edge of the canyon, with the most beautiful views of the Colorado River below. I made my way to the canyon's edge for both sunrise and sunset every day. Both shows were spectacular, but sunsets were pretty crowded everywhere we went. Sunrise was a different story—perfectly quiet, except for the singing birds. I set my alarm for 4:20 am, left the kids sleeping in their tent, and made my way through the pack each morning. I'm sure there are lots of beautiful places to watch the sun come up on the edge, but my favourite was Moran Point, which provided a great view of both east and west. We were lucky enough to witness the full moon setting one morning while the sun bathed the canyon in its warm light.
The Grand Canyon is a magical but busy place. If you like your wilderness experience to be wild, consider visiting it in the off-season, between October and April. The South Kaibab Trail offers wonderful views and relative silence for not much effort, but be sure to pack sunscreen, snacks and lots of water. Even wandering along the South Kaibab Trail from Grand Canyon Village will allow you to escape the groups of visitors.
24.Why do people camp on the edge of the Grand Canyon
A.To save money. B.To avoid the crowd.
C.To enjoy the fresh air. D.To enjoy the beautiful night scene.

C.In June. D.In July.
27.What's the author's purpose in writing the text
A.To share his experience of visiting the Grand Canyon.
B.To describe the beautiful scenes of the Grand Canyon.
C.To tell us where to camp in the Grand Canyon.
D.To advise us to visit the Grand Canyon.

Americans love their national parks. Last year, these lands attracted 331 million people. Visitors expect to be provided with roads, bridges, restrooms and more. The more people come, the more it costs to keep up the infrastructure
Unfortunately, the funds needed are not enough. The national parks have a backlog(积压) of more than $11 billion in things that need to be repaired or replaced. The Department of the Interior has proposed a solution: higher fees.
The increase would be applied at 17 of the most popular parks, including Yellowstone and Acadia, during peak months. Currently, a seven-day pass costs $25 or $30 for a carload of parents and kids. Under this proposal, the fee would rise to $70 for each vehicle, with each motorcycle charged 50 and cyclists 30 per person.
That $70 may sound steep, but for a family of four spending a week inside, it works out at $2.50 per person per day. A one-day ticket at the gate for Great America, by comparison, costs $54.99 for children and $74.99 for adults. And let's not even talk about Walt Disney World. For most people, the additional cost would be a tiny part of their total cost. Studies show that entrance fees make up only 1.2 to 1.5 percent of visitors' total trip expense.
The proposed change would yield $70 million. And visitors may be consoled (安慰) with the fact that 80 percent of each fee they pay will go to the park they visited. Nature provides Americans with the wonders of these parks for free. But making them accessible and enjoyable for millions of people costs money.
28.What is the function of the first paragraph
A.To bring out the topic of the text.
B.To display the needs of Americans.
C.To show how much Americans love traveling.
D.To tell us how much Americans love national parks.
29.How much will a visitor with a motorcycle be charged
A.$50. B.$70. C.$80. D.$100.
30.What is the good news
A.$70 million will be spent on the parks.
B.Most of the money will be spent on the parks.
C.Fewer people will enter the popular parks.
D.More natural parks will be open to the public.
31.What is the best title for the text
A.Americans Love to Visit Their National Parks
B.Nature Offers Americans Many Wonderful Parks
C.American National Parks Will Raise Their Entrance Fees

Banff National Park is Canada's firstborn national park and was recognized in 1885. Located in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Banff includes 6,641 square kilometers of glaciers and ice fields, thick coniferous forest, and alpine(高山的) scenery. The Icefields Parkway spreads from Lake Louise, connecting to Jasper National Park in the north. Provincial forests and Yoho National Park are neighbors to the west while Kootenay National Park is situated to the south. The main commercial center of the park is the Town of Banff, in the Bow River valley.
The Canadian Pacific Railway was contributory in Banff's early years, building the Banff Springs Hotel and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in the park and attracting tourists through widespread advertising. In the early 20th century, roads were built in Banff, at times by prisoners of World War Ⅰ, and through Great Depression-era public works projects. As Banff has over three million visitors annually, the health of its ecology has been endangered. In the mid-1990s, Parks Canada launched a two-year study to preserve ecological integrity.
Banff National Park has a subarctic climate(副极地气候) with three ecoregions. The forests feature the lodgepole pine at lower heights and the Engelmann spruce at higher ones below the tree line, above which are chiefly rocks and ice. Mammal(哺乳动物) species such as the grizzly bear, cougar, wolverine, moose and bighorn sheep are found along with hundreds of bird species. Reptiles(爬行动物) are also found but only a restricted number of species have been recorded.
The mountains were formed from sedimentary rocks(沉积岩) which were pushed east over newer rock formations, between 80 and 55 million years ago. Over the previous few million years, glaciers have at times covered most of the park, but today are found only on the mountainsides though they include the Columbia Icefield, the largest continuous glacial mass in the Rockies. Erosion(侵蚀) from water and ice has molded the mountains into their existing shapes.
32.What can we infer about Banff National Park

D.It failed to satisfy visitors' demand for commercial activities.

A.The biodiversity of Banff.
B.The limited knowledge of reptiles.

The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read under a willow tree(柳树). It must be sick, for the branches were kind of yellow and dry. I was a deserted girl. Endless quarrels with my parents had left me nowhere to go but this remote corner of the park. As I sat on the bench, things that happened recently began to flash through. Days seemed months to me recently. No comfortable home to stay in. No happy memories about my life. No considerate family members to talk to. Even the book I was reading was no fun. Not content with life, I had a good reason to frown, for the world was intended to drag me down.
And if that were not enough to ruin my day, a young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play. He stood right in front of me with his head tilted (倾斜) down and said with great excitement, “Look what I found!” In his hand was a flower. What a pitiful sight, its petals (花瓣) were all worn—not enough rain, or too little light. He must have picked the flower from somewhere shady and sunless, just like where I was staying these days. I couldn't help being self-pitying. Wanting him to take his dead flower away and go off to play, I faked a smile and then looked away. “Why couldn't everyone just leave me be!” I thought to myself, upset and gloomy.
But instead of leaving, he sat next to me and placed the flower to his nose and announced loudly with certainty, “It sure smells pretty good and it must be beautiful, too. That's why I picked it; here, it is for you.” The “weed” before me was dying or dead—anyone having eyes can see that clearly! But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave. So I reached for the flower, and replied, “Just what I need.” Strangely, instead of placing the flower in my hand, he held it in mid-air without any reason or plan.
Casting a curious glance at the boy's eyes,I was hugely shocked.

“I had to make a change,”I thought to myself.

38.A 细节句。 故选A。

44.D 根据该句中的“when you're on the road”和下文介绍的沿路交新朋友可推知,当你在路上时,很容易感到孤独(lonely)。 A.
49.B 根据该句中的“It should have been an hour's drive but was nearly three”可知,本可以一小时就行驶完的路程,“我”们却花了将近三个小时。

根据设空处前的“transport visitors”和设空处后的“every point of interest”可知,此处是“transport sb. to someplace”结构,意为“把某人送往某地”。故填to。
故填to explore。
One possible version:
Dear Peter,
Being a fan of theme parks, last Saturday I went to a newly-opened amusement park in our city with the theme of fairy tales. I can't wait to share it with you!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by cheerful music and joyous staff dressed as cartoon figures. The next few hours witnessed me taking every ride of the park, ranging from the thrilling roller coaster to the cozy carousel. These recreation facilities are named after well-known fairy tales. I felt like I were back to my carefree childhood.
Enclosed are some photos. Best wishes!
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
第二节
One possible version:
Casting a curious glance at the boy's eyes,I was hugely shocked. In the pure and sunny face was just a pair of eyes, somewhat hollow and focusless. “He was blind!” I felt myself choked as if there were something in my throat. With watery eyes, I took the flower from his hand carefully and praised it as the very best one. “Have a nice day!” the boy smiled broadly and then ran off before I had time to convey the slightest appreciation. I sat there and wondered how a blind little boy managed to see a self-pitying girl under a sick willow tree and how he even knew clearly of my despair.
“I had to make a change,”I thought to myself. For all of those times I myself had been blind to the world around me. Somehow, through the blind boy, at last I could see my real problem. I promised to step out of the shady corner and open my eyes to the beauty of the world. Never did he know that his weed-like flower brought the first glimmer of sunshine to a girl's deserted world.
