1.作宾语补足语
(1)动词不定式在tell, ask, want等动词后作宾语补足语时,必须带动词不定式符号to,句式结构为“动词+宾语+动词不定式”。常见的后跟动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词有:advise,allow,ask,beg,cause,encourage,expect,force,invite,order,teach,tell,want,warn等。
(2)若要表达否定的意思,要在to do前面加not。
(3)有些动词不定式作宾语补足语时,常常省略不定式符号to,这类词常见的有:
一感:feel;二听:listen to, hear;三让:make, have, let;五看:look at, see, watch, notice, observe;半帮助:help。
2.作目的状语
动词不定式作目的状语,通常用来表示行为动词的目的,意为“为了……”,既可放在句首,也可放在句尾。
