(22-23七年级下·江苏无锡·期末)Every dog should learn the command (命令) “no”. When the dog hears “no”, she should stop doing what she is doing before she hurts (伤害) herself, hurts you or someone else, or breaks things. Sometimes giving the command with body languages (语言) is useful. The command will help your dog learn a little self-control (自控). Here are some things that you can do.
1. Show your dog the behavior To teach the dog “no”, begin by showing her the behavior (行为) you want her to know. For example, show her a treat in your hand, and then say “no” before closing your fist (拳头) around the treat. Let her smell at your hand, but don’t give her the treat. If she stops trying and turns away, give her a treat from your other hand.
2. Have patience You can do the exercise ten times or even more before your dog understands that she gets the treat by leaving your closed hand alone. Stay patient enough with her, and always give a good treat if she can do it well.
3. ______________ Your dog will understand you by watching what you are doing. So, watch your body language. Stand tall and give the command in a strong voice, but don’t try to make her angry. You want her to understand and follow the command, not to make her afraid.
4. Teach your dog to follow the “No” is easier when your dog can’t reach the treat anyway (when it’s
command with the treat on the floor in your fist). The next step is to place the treat on the floor with your hand. You may have to start with your hand completely around the treat, but over some times, begin lifting your hand until she stops when you say “no” even with the treat in the open.

(22-23七年级下·江苏南通·期末)How do you deal with your rubbish when you are outside Do you sort(分类)rubbish before throwing it away
When my children were younger, we used to walk a graveled trail(碎石小道)around the lake near our home. ①
One spring day my daughter and I noticed just how much rubbish was lying along the trail. So the next day we brought a big rubbish bag with us and started to pick up the rubbish along our way slowly, step by step. ② There were pop cans(易拉罐), wrapper for candy bars, plastic(塑料的)water bottles, empty chip bags, pieces of broken fishing line and even an old worn-out shoe. We stopped and picked up each one and even fished a few pieces of rubbish out of the edge(边)of the water. By the time we had circled the lake, the bag was nearly full.

Scientists have now found some clues (线索)by studying water bears. These microscopic organisms (微生物) can live without water for a few years, according to University of Tokyo biologist Takekazu Kunieda.
When water bears find themselves somewhere without water, they turn into something called a tun. In this form, there are no signs of life, and they can survive (存活) on their own. Deep freezing, volcanic fire, the dark space...these tiny water bears just sleep it off and wake up once it’s safe again, said Science Alert.
But how do these little eight-legged water bears live without water Scientists may find the answer now.
“It’s thought that as water leaves a cell (细胞), some kind of protein (蛋白质) must help the cell keep its energy to avoid breaking apart,” said Kunieda. Now scientists have found proteins unique(独特的) to water bears. The proteins protect their cells against dewatering.
Scientists also put those proteins into human cells. They found these proteins can make the human cell strong so that it won’t become smaller when losing water, said Science Alert.
With experiments (实验) of using human cells showing successful results, Trisolarans might one day come to be a reality.

People usually think cats are not very friendly. Cats play with people less than dogs. They like to stay alone for hours. However, a new study shows that cats like people, too.
Scientists (科学家) studied cats’ relationships (关系) with their owners. They invited 117 cat owners to take a test. In the six-minute test, cat owners walked into a new room with their pets. After two minutes, the owners left the room, leaving the cats alone. When the owners came back two minutes later, the scientists looked at what the cats would do. About 67% cats came to greet their owners right away when they came back. The cats then went back to look around the room, but still came back to their owners now and then.
In the same test, 58% of dogs did the same thing just like the cats. “This idea that cats like to stay alone or don’t really like people isn’t holding up,” said Kristyn Vitale, a scientist. “The more we find out about cats, the more we see that they’re social (社会的) animals.”
