To learn the following sentence patterns: —What's your favorite subject —My favorite subject is art. —Who is your P.E. teacher 3. To learn to talk about preferences for subjects. 4. Express your preferences for subjects fluently.
教学内容
教学重点: 1.Teach the different subjects and target sentences: what/why/who. 2. Talk about preferences for subjects with reasonable reasons. 教学难点: 1.The right use of “ his/her favorite...”,some students may say “he/she favorite...” 2.Creative expressions of reasons for preferences.
教学过程
Step1 Read the picture Ask students look at the picture on page49. Ask “Where are they What are they talking ”to lead in the topic “favorite subject”and get to learn “subjects”. Step2 Let’s learn Present small pictures of the main picture on page49 to teach the target sentences “ What’s her/his favorite subject” and the answers. Meanwhile add extra information to rich the students’ expressions. For example, the activities in a certain class, the description words to describe subjects and teachers. Step3 Let’s group Ask students to group the subjects he likes and dislikes, ask to tell his preferences by answering the questions. Step4 Let’s listen T: The girl is talking with her friend. Then, what’s her name What subjects are they talking Please listen and circle the subjects in 1a. Then check the answer and imitate the dialogue.Ask students to pay attention to the stress and tones to get the feeling. After that, ask to complete the chart and retell the dialogue.After that, ask students to think if the dialogue is complete and why. Step5 Let’s practice Ask students to make the sentences in order in 2a, then ask to finish the task in 2b and check the answers. Then ask students to think up other description words. Then imitate and think about the last two questions.Are they true Why do they think so Can you give some advice Give a conclusion on how to give answers more reasonably. Step6 Let’s practice Ask to read the dialogue in 2d and finish the chart. Check the answer and retell and imitate. After that, ask to understand “That’s for sure.”Ask “What do you think of Mr. Hu ”and teach how to make your reason more reasonable by giving an example. Step7 Let’s practice Ask students to talk about their favorite day.
