Analysis of the students:The students are from grade 7.The English level of the students is uneven. Most of them have poor foundation. So they have no interest and no confident in learning English. But some of them can receive new knowledge quickly. So teacher need to make a better teaching plan, add more interesting ideas to the lesson, attach students attentions and improve their self-confidence.
Analysis of the teaching materials : This unit is about likes and dislikes about food.By learning this unit, students need to know how to read the new words about food in English, learn to use new sentences to ask and answer in conversation. Such a topic is related to students’ daily life and they are very familiar with it.
Teaching objectives:After learning this lesson, students are able to:

read and spell the new words (Pacific ,so, guess, excited, wow)
understand conversation about holiday journey
use the new sentences in conversation.(new sentences: ①Where /When did you go ② How did you get there

Teaching Reflection In this class ,I use Communicative teaching method and Guide teaching method, allow Ss. to communicate in a free environment .Ss. use self-study and cooperative study methods most of the time, which can train their self-study and cooperative abilities and improve their confidence. In all, Ss. learn efficiently and happily in this class. But, I’m afraid there are too much activities in class , so I will try to control the time better.
