Teaching Aims Students will be able to learn new words and phrases.Students will describe the position of the school buildings.Students will be able to write the position of the buildings on a map with the prep.
Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Revision Purpose
Revise the objects in the classroom.Show the students a picture of a classroom to talk about with “ there is/ are (not)…” 1.复习教室的物件以及there is/are句型2.引入新知:学校的建筑。
Step 2 Pre-reading Purpose
Show the school buildings to teach the new words (office building, dining hall …).Show the students a photo to teach the position with the prep ( in front of, between … and…, behind…).Ask the students to label the pictures in A1 and the desks in A2. 1.以自己学校的建筑楼和班级学生的座位图片为载体,教授新知,学生感觉熟悉、易懂。2.通过A1和A2的活动巩固新知。同时为后面的阅读做好铺垫。
Step 3 While-reading Purpose
Ask the students to read the first two sentences to find out some information: How many buildings What are they Ask the students to read the rest part of the passage and label the map of the school.Check the answers and ask the students to read the key sentences to tell the reason. 1.先阅读文章的前两句是为了让学生了解学校的建筑物,为下一步的贴标签最好铺垫。2.核实答案时让学生找出出处可以让错误的同学纠正错误。
Step 4 Post-reading Purpose
Ask the students to read the passage again and find more information about the passage (where is the playground / How many classrooms are there /what’s in the science lab )Ask the students to talk about the position of buildings on the map with the prep.Show the students a map of our school, talk about the school buildings.The students complete the passage about the school according to the school map. 1.帮助学生更好的了解文章的细节,注重极个别的词的用法。2.谈论自己的学校的布局,复习巩固新知,掌握如何介绍自己的校园,同时以说促写。
Step 5 Consolidation Purpose
Ask the students to read the new words and phrases on the Bb and the passage. 帮助学生及时巩固新知。
Step 6 Homework
Get the students to read the words and passagesGet the students to introduce your school to your friends or your family.
