本单元话题是“周末活动”（Weekend activities）。本节课是本单元的第三节课，是一节听说课。本部分通过完整的听说任务链，引导学生在听说的过程中运用相关词汇描述日常活动，并通过观察图片、听录音、小组讨论等活动，运用所学词汇和句型谈论自己的周末。
学完这一课，学生能够掌握：
1．词汇：fly、kite、fly a kite、study for a test、go to the library；
2．能力：运用所学词汇和句型谈论过去发生的事情；使用一般过去时的特殊疑问句询问信息；在听力中抓住关键信息；
3．交际功能：
使用“On Sunday afternoon, I flew a kite in the park.”“Who went to the library ”“Sally did.”“Did you do anything interesting last weekend ”“Not really, but I visited my sister.”等句型谈论过去发生的事情。

（2）让学生完成1a的任务。

【教师活动】展示1b的任务要求，让学生谈论1a的周末活动是否有趣，训练学生的开放性思维。然后教师提问“Why do/don’t you think they are fun ”，让几个学生谈谈他们的观点。

Step 3: While-listening
【教师活动】先让学生明确1c的任务要求，然后播放1c的录音，让学生完成表格。
