教 学 过 程 Step 1 Lead in 1. Greet students as usual. 2. Ask Ss to make a dialogue using “could…” in pairs. Example: A: Could I go to the movies, mom B: Yes, you can./No, you can’t. … Step 2 Presentation 1. Show the pictures of some activities and housework and ask students to answer what Ss want to do and what parents allow Ss to do (allow students answer in Chinese and the teacher teach students how to express in English). 2. Guess and talk about the picture to practice the oral English. Example: T: Look at the picture, ask and answer. S1: Does he clean his room T: No, he doesn’t. S2: Does he make his bed T: Yes, he does. Step 3 Practice (1a & 1b) 1.Look at 1a. Ask Ss to discuss the question: What do parents ask their teenagers to do 3. Ask the Ss to write parents or teenagers next to each phrase. 4. Use the phrases in 1a to make conversations like 1b. 6.Invite some pairs to act out in class. Step 4 listening 1.Listen to a conversation between Sandy and her mom. Listen and repeat. Step 5 Group works 1.Divide the students into groups and give a certain situation. Imagine you are having a party. You ask your partner for help with these things: go to the store buy drinks and snacks do the dishes clean the living room take out the rubbish 　　Example: A: Would you like to come to my birthday party B: Yes, I’d love to. /Sorry, I can’t. He is really friendly. 你不应拒绝他的邀请。他很友好。 常用结构有： (1)invite sb. to do sth. 邀请某人做某事 【例句】 We invite him to joinus in the discussion. 我们邀请他加入我们的讨论。 (2)invite sb. to +地点 邀请某人去某地 2. 表示有礼貌地请求别人做某事的句型：Could you please... 　常用回答：Yes，sure. /Of course. /Certainly. /All right. 　表示征询许可的句型：Could I... 　常用回答：Yes，you can. /Sorry，you can’t. Step 7 Summary In this class we practiced listening skills. You should know the meaning of the tapes. And you should master the new words and phrases.
