教 学 过 程 Step 1 Warming-up and revision T: Hello, everyone, can you remember what we learned in this unit Good, let’s look at the slides and try to review what we have learned before. Can you translate the following phrases or sentences into English 【设计意图】对本单元课时中的重点词汇和句型,进行总结性的复习。温故而知新,为接下来的写作打好基础。 Step 2 Discussing 1.Show Ss a video. Let Ss discuss the following questions with their partners and take notes. (1) Do you think children should do some chores at home (2) Why or why not 2.Invite some Ss to share their notes. 【设计意图】复习的上节课所学内容的同时,巩固本单元句式,同伴合作,锻炼学生的口语表达能力与合作能力。 Step 3 Writing Work on 3b 1.Write a letter to the Sunday Mail and express your opinion. 2.Teach Ss how to write a letter. (1) 信头:发信人地址和日期。 这部分中有时可省去发信人地址,但一般要写日期。写在信纸的右上方。 (2) 称呼:对收信人的尊称 最普通的是Dear,但与Mr.,Mrs.,Miss等不同的是,Dear后一般用名字,而Mr.,Mrs.,Miss后不能单独用名字,只能是姓或姓与名。 (3) 信的正文。 (4) 结尾:发信人对收信人的谦称或敬语。写在信的下方。 这部分要特别注意英语习惯,不可根据汉语意思写上诸如“此致敬礼”、“祝您健康”之类的中国式的结尾语。常用的英语书信结尾如下: 写给同龄人或年长的朋友:Yours sincerely,Sincerely yours,Yours等。 写给好朋友:Love,With love,Best wishes等。 写给亲戚:Love,With love,Affectionately yours,Your (ever) loving son/sister等。 (5) 签名。 签名一般在结尾语的下一行。 (6) 常见的私人信件的开头方式: 高兴:I was so glad/happy to hear from you... 关心与询问:How are you getting on these days /How are you these days /How are you getting on with your studies/work 感谢:Thanks for your letter/gift. 遗憾:I was sorry to hear that .../I was so upset to hear that ... 抱歉:I’m sorry that I did not write to you sooner but I have been very busy these days.... 3.Show an outline to Ss. Dear Sir or Madam, I think/believe that . I agree/ disagree that . I think it is fair/unfair for children to . I think children should/should not because . For example, they should/should not because . Yours truly, 4.Invite Ss to share their work. Step 4 self-check 1. Now look at the Self Check activities and do them by yourself. 2.
