6. Homework
Make a poster to advertise your theme park to your class. If possible, make a small model of your theme park and display it to the class.

一、教学目标
本单元以Theme parks 为话题,旨在通过本单元的教学,使学生了解分散于世界各地的各种各样的主题公园,学会向别人介绍某个景点的大体情况,以及计划各项活动,同时培养学生对世界及生活的热爱。
二、学情分析
学生现阶段处于高一下学期,求知欲强,对周围的事物较为敏感,有自己的观点和看法,他们不满足于教科书上的知识,想获得更多的信息。在英语学习上,他们不只是想把英语作为一门死记硬背的课程来学,更希望能学到知识性和趣味性兼有的内容,从英语学习中获得更多的知识和能力。因此,应结合学生的实际情况,因材施教,激发学生兴趣,让学生主动学习,配合教师开展活动,学有所获。
三、学时目标
1.能力目标
使学生了解分散于世界各地的各种各样的主题公园,了解传统公园和主题公园的区别,完成阅读理解练习。
2.学能目标
学会总结对比相同点和不同点。
3.情感目标
通过本文激发学生对于世界各地主题公园的求知欲,通过设计自己的主题公园来培养学生创造力和发散性思维。使学生形成积极的情感态度,主动思维,大胆表述,提高语言实际运用能力,同时,又使他们陶冶情操、拓展视野,开发思维能力,发展个性,提高人文素养,形成正确的价值观和人生观。
四、重点难点
重点:阅读理解,找出文段大意,总结文意。
难点:用学到的知识介绍某个景点的大体情况
五、教学步骤
Step 1. Warming up:
Ask questions about parks and theme parks, show the students pictures about parks and theme parks, letting them tell the difference between the two kinds.
Show pictures about activities in a theme park and ask the students to tell the name of the activities, which at the same time arouse the students’ interest in theme parks.
Step 2. Pre-reading
Show more pictures about parks with different themes and ask the students to guess the theme of each park. Categorize the themes into entertainment, culture, nature and so on, thus leading to the topic of the reading passage: theme parks -- fun and more than fun.
Step 3. Fast reading
See a video clip, and read the passage quickly.

※Offer the students some possible themes to choose from.
Step 6. Homework
