教学目标
1. Students can talk about colors and common objects in English; 2. Students are able to spell some words of objects; 3. Students can sing an English song about colors.
教学内容
教学重点: key vocabulary: color, red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple, brown, jacket, cup, ruler, pen, key, the, in English.
2. Target language: What’s this/that in English It’s an orange. Spell it, please. O-R-A-N-G-E.
教学难点: The usage of the, this, that, these, those in making conversations.

教学过程
教师活动: Step 1: Lead-in The teacher presents some pictures to show pictures in humans’ eyes. Then, she shows a video of the world in animals’ eyes. PS. Morality Education: Life is more beautiful with colors! Let’s enjoy our lives more! 学生活动: Students identify the differences and find out the beauty of our life with colors. Through morality education, students realize the luck of being humans and enjoy the beauty of and colors and life more.
Step 2: Color Review The teacher leads students to read aloud the words of colors and pay attention to students’ pronunciation. Students pronounce the words of colors correctly.
Step 3: Listening (3a & 3b) (1)The teacher guide students to make a teacher-student conversation. A: What is this in English B: It’s a ... (2)Play the listening materials of 3a & 3b. (1)Students listen to 3a and color the things. (2)Students listen to 3b and complete the sentences.
Step 4: Pair work The teacher encourages students to talk about their things in pairs. Students work in pairs to make conversations like the following: A: What color is your pen B: It is... What color is your ruler A: It is... What color are your keys B: They are...
Step 5: More objects in life The teacher present more pictures of objects on TV and lead students to answer the questions like “What is this/that ”or “What are these/those ” Students identify what they are and make conversations with the teacher.
Step 6: Pair work The teacher encourages students to make a more complete and difficult conversation and share their group work later. Students work in groups to make conversations like the following: A: What’s this/that in English B: It’s a key. A: Spell it, please./ How do you spell it B: K-E-Y. A: What color is it B: It’s yellow. What are these/those in English A: They are jackets. What color are they B: They are red.
Step 7: Song time The teacher plays a song of colors and encourages students to sing along with the song. Students have fun by singing the song together happily.
Step 8: Saying about colors To expand students’ knowledge, the teacher ask students to guess the meanings of some sayings with colors. And she explains each saying in details. Students guess the meanings of the sayings and learn something more about colors.
Step 9: Exercise: To review what students have learned, the teacher assigns some exercises for students to finish. Students finish the exercises by writing the words and sentences down and check the answers later.They have to correct the wrong answers in red pens to remember the correct ones well.
Step 10: Homework: Here are two pictures of our classroom and bedroom. 1. Please color the things in the pictures; 2.Please write down the English words under the things in your pictures. You can also draw a picture of your classroom or your bedroom by yourself. 3. Please write down the colors in English according to the pictures.
