Unit 4 My Day
一.Teaching objectives:
1.Ss can tell the time, give commands and describe what time one does things.
2. Key words: get up , go to school , get home , do homework have dinner, have lunch, have breakfast, go to bed,
Alphabet words: home, homework, cola, nose, close, those
Other words: tomorrow , wake up , time , go to sleep
3. Language structures:
What time is it? It’s 7:30.
It’s time to go to school.
What time do you go to school?
I go to school at 7:30.
4. Be able to know the pronunciation of letters: o_e,o

1. Be able to listen, speak, read and write the new words.
2. Be able to read and use the new language structures.
3. Can read the letters “o_e” “o”.

1. Can spell the new words fluently and correctly.
2. Be able to understand about time English.

五.Teaching procedure: Four periods
Period One
一、Teaching contents:
Story
二、Teaching procedure:
Step One: Warming-up.
1. Chant and dance.
2. Introduce the competition.
Step Two: Revision
1. Read the time with the rhyme.
2. Learn to read the time: 3:01, 3:15
3. Pair work to practice.
Step Three: Presentation
1. Lead in the phrase “go to sleep” by acting, teach students to read it and act.
2.Lead in the key sentence pattern by showing a picture and time. And teach them to read and do action to use the sentence.
It’s time to go to sleep.
It’s time to sing a song.
3. Watch the video and find the answer of the question: Can Gogo fall asleep?
Step Four: Drills of the conversation.
1 .Answer the question and show the pictures.
2 .Raise two more questions and role
-play tolearn the phrase:wake up.
3. Answer the questions.
4. Follow the video to read.
5. Role-play in groups and see which group can act better.
Step Five: Extension.
Make the school timetable in order
1. Discuss in groups and make the disordered timetable in order.
2. Show the correct timetable in this way: It’s 6: 50. It’s time to get up.
Pair work “Sunday at home”
Choose one of the picture to make a new dialogue.
Step six: Homework.
1.Preview the new phrases.
2.Ask parents about their timetable at home.

一、Teaching contents:
Vocabulary, Target, Chant, Activity2.
二、Teaching procedure:
Step One: Revision
1.Show a picture of Gogo to the students and say Hello to Gogo. The teacher stands for Gogo.
2.Lead the students to review . Tell time quckily and correctly.
3.Lead the students to speak out the sentence structure It’s time to…
Step Two: Presentation
1.Show target 1 to set a situation.
2.Learn the four new phrases.
3.Chant
4.Learn the other four new phrases.
Step Three: Drill the phrases.
1.Listen and Touch.
Invite two students in front of the blackboard , then listen to the other students. When hearing a phrase, touch the right card on the blackboard.
2. Act and Guess.
Invite two students in front of the TV. One do action, the other guess. Then change another pair.
Step Four: Do activity2
1.Ask the stuedents turn to page33, then do pairwork.
2. Give the students an example, then two students in a pair ask and answer.
3. When say the phrases, they should do the action.
Step Five: Write a letter.
1.The students know the timetable of Tony and Jenny’s.
2. Gogo want the students to write a letter to Tony and Jenny to tell them the timetable at school.
Step Six: Extention.
1. Ask the student to talk about and think over: What do you do on Sunday?
2. Then talk about their Sundays.

2. Show some unclear pictures for
students to guess by using target sentence pattern.
3. Ask the students to stick some phrase cards on the right position in the dialogue. Sum up the rule: does+V原 and he/she/it+V三单
Step Three: Drills
1. Talk about “Jenny’s day”. Students have to find a partner and ask for the information he/she needs.
2. Sum up the rule and practice more words.
Step Four: Extension.
1. Read “Mom’s Sunday”.
2. Write “Mom’s / Dad’s Sunday”.
3. Check students’ writing.
Step Five: Homework.
Let students tell their parents about their writing.

(Flash pictures from the learnt words and show the words find out the same sound[?u])
2. Present the digraphs “o_e”, “o”.
( A game: Listen to the sound[?u],then clap hands-----Circle the words with the sound[?u]----- sum up the letters “o_e”, “o” say[?u]
3.Learn the six words and lead the students to conclude the rules of the sound[?u].
a)Present six words from the text.
b)Lead in the key sentence.
c)Lead the students to conclude the rules of the sound [?u].
d)Show the long vowel rule and Ss chant the rules.
4.Read the sound[?u] in words
a)Read the words with the digraphs“o_e”

Step Three: Listen and act
a)Listen for the first time and fill in blanks
