Step 1 Revision
Review the word “do” simple form and –ing form.
Step 2 Presentation
Bring in picture cards. Show the picture side of picture card sweeping the floor.
T: Sweeping the floor. [Ss: sweeping the floor.] Show the word side of the card and put it on the board .Write sweep the floor next to the card .Continue with the rest of the cards and introduce both simple form and –ing form of the verbs.
T: Open your books .Listen and point to each phrase. Play the tape again and have Ss repeat each phrase.

Step 3 Target
T: Look at page 15 and find Tony.
T: (Point to Tony) Is Tony cooking breakfast?[Ss :No, he is not .He doing the dishes. ] Ask individual Ss.
T: (S1`s name), is he washing the car? [s1: No, he is not. He is doing the dishes.]
T: (s2`s name) Is he doing the dishes? [s2: Yes, he is. He is doing the dishes.]
Ask several more student similar questions.
Step 4 Practice
T: Now let’s look at page.
Point to the picture and model the dialog.
T: Let’s listen to the tape and repeat.
Play the tape and pause after each sentence, allowing Ss time to repeat.
Put Ss into pairs to practice the Q & A exchanges.

T: look at Jenny. Where’s she? [Ss: She’s in the yard.]
T: Yes, she is helping her dad.
T: look at Tony. Where is he? [Ss: He’s in the kitchen.]
T: Yes. He is helping his mom.
T: Tony and Jenny are helping their parents.
What are they doing? Let is find out.
T: Ok, Now, Let’s listen to the tape.
Have Ss follow the dialog by pointing to the pictures in their books.
T: What is Jenny doing? [Ss: she` washing the clothes.]
T: What is Tony doing? [Ss: He is washing the dishes]
T: Let listen again and repeat.
Play the tape, pausing after each line to have Ss repeat.
Encourage Ss to use facial and voice expressions when they say I am sorry and I am waiting .Point to the pictures and model if necessary. Put Ss into three groups. One group takes the role of Gogo, one plays Jenny and the last group is Mom. Read out each line in the dialog for each group to repeat.
Step 3 Practice
1) Point to each picture and ask questions that require Ss to answer with the target language pattern.
T: (Point to picture A.) what is he doing? [Ss: He is dusting the furniture.]
T: (Point to picture B.) Is he washing the dishes? {Ss: No, he is not. He is washing the car.}
Continue with the rest.
T: Now let is listen to the tape.
Play the tape for A, and then pause.
T: What is he doing? [Ss: He is cleaning the windows.]
Have Ss look for the sentence .He is cleaning the windows on the page.
T: Write A in the box.
Continue with the rest.
2) Have Ss look at the sentences on the page.
T: A. Repeat. Is he cleaning the windows? [Ss: Is he d cleaning the windows?]
Do the same for the other three sentences.
T: Now, look at picture A. Is he cleaning the windows?
Have one student answer. [S1: No, he is not. He is sweeping the floor.]
Continue with the rest.
If Ss are having difficulty coming up with the answer for C and D, give some clues by asking some yes /no questions, e.g. Is she folding the clothes?
Chant activity
Have Ss cover the lyrics with their hands and look at the pictures.
T: What is Mom doing? [Ss: She is folding the clothes.]
T: What is Dad doing? [Ss: He is sweeping the floor.]
Have Ss uncover the lyrics.
T: Let is read out the lyrics first.
Ask Ss to read out the sentences together.
T: Now it is time to chant! Let is listen to the tape first.
Play the tape and point to each word as it is chanted.
Play the tape again and have all Ss chant together.
2) Have Ss look at the pictures.
T: Look at Tony. What is he doing? [Ss: He is washing the dishes.]
Continue with the other pictures.
T: Now it is time to write. What are they doing? Complete the sentences on the page. (Point to the blank)
Remind students that they must put periods at the end their sentences. Point to the example
T: Let is check the answers together. ( S1`s name), what is Jenny doing?[S1: Jenny is folding the clothes.]
Continue with the rest.

Step 1 Revision
Review the vocabulary and the conversation.
Step 2 Activity
Have Ss cover the student B box.
Have Ss look at the characters in the Student. A box and go over the names (From left to right. Mr. Green/Dad, Ms. Black, Peter, Ben, Bonnie, Boomer, Mrs., Green/Mom, Jenny, Lisa, Tony and Gogo), Write them down on the board if needed.
Put picture Cards on the board for reference.
Go over the vocabulary if necessary
Put Ss into pairs and have them sit down face to face.
Student A covers Student B box and Student B covers Student A box.
Write ‘Is (character is name)…?’ On the board
T: look at Tony. Student As, ask a question like this. Repeat. Is Tony folding the clothes? [Student As: Is Tony folding the clothes?]
T: Student Bs, answer the questions based on your picture. [Student Bs: No he is not .He is making the bed.]
T: Circle the pictures when they are different. Don’t circle them when they are the same.
Give pairs time to find the differences.
Check the answers together as a class.
Step 3 Sounds and words
Write black and lake on the board and underline –ee.
T: (point to the endings.) Let is practice this sound.
T: /i:/.[Ss:/i:/.]
Make sure that Ss make the voiceless sound without adding a vowel sound at the end .Have Ss touch their throats to feel the difference between /i/ and /i:/.(for the sound /i:/,Ss don’t feel the vibration of the vocal .For the sound /i/,they do .)
Have Ss look at the pictures on the page.
T: Let is listen to the tape.
Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the Ss say it.
T: Let is listen again and this time, repeat.
Have Ss repeat after the tape.
After enough practice, point to the picture random and have Ss say the words
2).Have Ss look at the pictures around the lyrics.
T: (Point to the picture).Repeat .It is bee. [Ss: It is bee.]
T: (Point to the pictures) Repeat .It is tree. [Ss: It is tree.] It is tree.
Do the same for the snake picture.
T: Let is listen to the chant.
Play the tape once.
T: Now let is practice.
Read out the lyrics sentence and have Ss repeat.
T: Let is chant together.
Play the tape and have Ss chant along.
