1. look ①系动词 “看起来” 后加形容词做表语 e.g. You look beautiful.
② 行为动词(不及物) e.g. Look at the blackboard. 看黑板。
常用搭配:①look after… 照顾…… ②look for… 寻找……
③look out当心,小心 ④look up 向上看;查阅
2. come on: Come on, Eddie. 得了,Eddie。
Come on, Let’s hurry.(表示催促,快来吧)
Come on, Tom! Jack is catching up.(加油)
3. full adj.满的,满是…的;吃饱了的
常用搭配:be full of sth =be filled with sth 充满某物
e.g. The world is full of amazing things. 世界充满了奇妙的东西。
= The world is filled with amazing things.
4. amazing adj.令人惊奇的,令人感到吃惊的,主语通常为事物
amazed adj.感到惊奇的, 主语通常为人
【类似用法】interesting 有趣的 & interested 感兴趣的
tiring 令人劳累的 & tired 疲劳的,劳累的
boring 无聊的 & bored 厌倦的,无聊的
surprising 令人惊讶的 & surprised 感到惊讶的,惊奇的
5. with 反义词: without 没有,不包括
① with + 名词 + 形容词/介词短语,作状语表伴随。e.g. Fish sleep with their eyes open.
②with +工具,表示“用”e.g. My sister always draw with chalk.
③with 表示“和”:e.g. I want to travel with my parents.
6. 短语:be the same as… 与…相同
be different from… 与…不同
e.g. My hobbies are the same as yours. 我的爱好与你相同。
My hobbies are different from yours. 我的爱好与你不同。
7. stop doing sth 停止正在做的事 & stop to do sth 停下来去做另一件事...
e.g. Let's stop working to have a rest. 让我们停下工作去休息。
Our noses and ears never stop growing. 我们的鼻子和耳朵从不停止生长。
8. usual adj.通常的,平常的 反义词: unusual 异常的,不平常的
as usual 照例,像往常一样 & than usual 比往常 (常用比较级)
e.g. He arrived earlier than usual. 他比往常到的早。
9. hear听见(强调听的结果) ; listen 听(强调听的动作)
look看(强调看的动作) ; see看见(强调结果)
look for寻找(强调找的动作); find找到(强调结果)
e.g. They looked around but saw nothing. 他们环顾四周,可是什么也没看到。
10. reply n./v.答复,回答 reply to sb / sth
answer n./v.答复,回答 answer sb / sth
e.g. He didn't reply to my email. 他没有回复我的邮件。
He answered my question.他回答了我的问题。
11. leave v. 离开
leave from… = leave…从.....离开 e.g. leave Nanjing = leave Nanjing 离开南京
leave for… 离开去...... e.g. Simon left Beijing for Shanghai. 西蒙离开北京去上海了。
12. search vt. 搜查, 搜寻, 搜索 (后跟搜索的一定范围)
vi 搜寻 (后跟被搜寻的目标) search for…= look for…
e.g. The police searched him. 警察搜了他的身。
The police are searching for him. 警察正在寻找他。
13. happen vi.发生 (一般指偶然发生,其主语常为事,不能是人)
sth. + happen to sb. 某人发生了某事
[拓展] happen 表示“碰巧”(主语可以是人) sb. +happen to do sth. 某人碰巧做某事
14. say to oneself & speak / talk to oneself. 心里想,自言自语
say为及物动词,句中应该有说话内容。 e.g.“Here it is,” Andy said to himself.
15. weak adj.虚弱的,无力的 反义词: strong 强壮的
be weak in “在...方面弱”,与be good at意思相反。
16. pick up sth = pick sth up 捡起,拿起 (当宾语为人称代词时,只能放在pick 和 up中间)
17. surprise n.惊讶,意外 to one’s surprise 令某人吃惊的是
v.使惊讶,使感到意外
e.g. To my surprise, the college student is only 14. 令我吃惊的是那个大学生才14 岁。
18. take sth. to sp. 把某物带去/送去某地 e.g. Later that day, they took it to the animal center.
bring sth. to sp. 把某物带来某地 e.g. Bring your book here.
take sth. with sb. 随身携带…
主语 用法 例句
cost 物 物+cost+(人)+钱 The new toy car cost me three dollars.
pay 人 人+pay+钱+for+物 I paid three dollars for the new car.
spend 人 人+spend+钱/时间+on sth I spent three dollars on the new toy car.
人+spend+时间+in doing sth I spend three hours reading every day.
take 人 It takes sb +时间 + to do sth It takes me three hours to read every day.

20. learn about 得知;了解;获悉
e.g. I learnt about this car two years ago. 两年前我获悉了这辆车的情况。
【拓展】learn 的用法: ①learn to do sth.学习做某事
②learn from sb.向某人学习
21. without 介词: 没有 反义词: with 带有,具有
e.g. Camel can live without water for a long time. 骆驼没有水可以生存很长一段时间。
22. surprised adj.感到惊讶的 & surprising令人感到惊奇的
be surprised to do sth. 对做某事感到惊奇
be surprised at sth. 对某事感到惊奇
23. not...any more 不再 = not…any longer 不再
e.g. Now. I am not afraid of animals any more. 现在我不再害怕动物了。
I can’t wait any longer. 我不能再等了。
24. hear of/ about… 听说… e.g. I heard of a young man.我听说过一个年轻人。
hear from 意为“收到...的来信” e.g. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
25. called : 被叫做,被称为,可与 named 换用
e.g. Sandwiches got its name from a man called John Montagu.
The boy named Jack is my classmate. 那个叫做捷克的男孩是我的同学。
26.between 在…之间 (两者) among 在…之间 (三者及三者以上)
e.g. put meat between two pieces of bread 把肉放在两片面包之间
He is the tallest boy in the room. 他是这个房间里最高的男孩。
