It was my first day in Grade 8. And the first lesson was English. When Mr. Gough,our new English teacher,walked into the classroom,I was just in silence at my desk.I didn't even take out my textbook.
To my surprise, he held up a book, The Old Man and the Sea,and asked if anyone had read it.I put my hand up because I happened to read it several days ago.
