【语法解读】
一、冠词
二、数字
在英语中,每三位数看作一个单位,按照百、十、个位向下读,而进位的读法则为thousand,million,billion向上递增。
129读作:one hundred and twenty-nine
1,129读作:one thousand one hundred and twenty-nine
1,340,129,129读作:one billion,three hundred and forty million,one hundred and twenty-nine thousand, one hundred and twenty-nine
【拓展】
(1)如果hundred,thousand,million,billion四个词前没有具体数字,应在四个词后加-s +of +可数名词复数;数词与名词合成形容词时,四个单词用单数形式。

a ten-thousand-word story 一个一万字的故事
(2)several, some, many 等词被认为是具体数字,其后跟hundred,thousand,million,billion的单数+名词复数。
