Step 1:Revision
1.Check the homework and then ask students to talk about Lao She's Teahouse.
2.Have a dictation of some new words and expressions.
3.Ask some students to read the passage about his or her favourite film and play.

4.Let them say as much as they can.
Step 2:Language practice
1.Go over the grammar points with the whole class and ensure the students can understand and use them correctly.
T:How many verbs are there in each sentence
T:What tense is the first one and what form does the second verb take
2.The term “infinitive” can be taught if it will help the students remember.
Step 3:Practice 1
1.Ask the students to read the words in the box.
2.Complete the sentences on their own.
3.Remind them to use the infinitive from that has been explained in the grammar box.
4.Elicit and check the answers.
Step 4:Practice 2
1.Tell the students to read through the conversation first.Then ask a few questions and elicit answers from the students.

2.Ask them to read the note all the way through so that they can work out which word in the box fits each gap.
3.Elicit what form of words should be in.
4.Ask them to put the words into the correct form and complete the note.

Step 5:Practice 3
1.Tell the students to look at the photo of the statue and ask:
Do you know who he is?(Elicit the name of the writer Lu Xun.)
2.Tell them to read through the passage and look at the words on brackets while they are reading.
3.Ask the students to think about what form of words will be in.Read the passage and then fill in them.
4.Ask them to complete the passage on their own and then check their answers in pairs.
5.Check the answers from the whole class.
6.Ask a few questions to check comprehension or write them on the board for the students to answer in pairs.

Step 1:Listening

1.Look at the words and expressions in the box with the class.Make sure they know how to make suggestions with them.

2.Elicit what they would like to do or see on weekends and then tell them to make some suggestions for each other.Write them up on board.

1.Review the play Teahouse with the class.Discuss what it is about.
2.Tell them to read the passage quickly and find out three things:
a)where the play was performed
b)whether it was good or not
c)why
3.Tell them to read the task and choices.Ask them to read the passage again and underline the key information.Then choose the answers.
4.Ask them to check their answers in pairs.
5.Elicit the correct answers in full sentences from the class.
Step 4:Around the world
Theatres
1.Ask the students to look at the photo and say if they know where it is.
2.Read through the information.And ask them a few concept questions:
How many people were in the audience
Where did they sit
Do people still watch ancient Greek plays
3.Elicit answers from the class.
4.Ask them to find out more information about theatres.
Step 5:Module task
Acting out a scene from a play.
