Sometimes she said I talked too much, and so on. I tried to put up with(忍受)her as long as I could. At last, I became very angry. I ran to my father with tears in my eyes.
He listened to me quietly, and then he asked, “Are the things she said true or not Mary, didn’t you ever wonder what you’re really like Go and make a list of everything she said and mark the points that are true. Pay no attention to the other things she said. ”
I did as he told me and to my surprise, I found that about half the things were true. I brought the list back to my dad. He refused to take it. “That’s just for you,” he said. “You know better than anyone else the truth about yourself. When something said about you is true, you’ll find it will be helpful to you. Don’t close your ears. Listen to them all, but hear the truth and do what you think is right. ”

A few weeks ago, I went into Chase’s class for help. I e-mailed Chase’s teacher one evening and said, “My son keeps telling me that his homework is maths, but I’m not sure whether I should believe him. Help, please. ” She e-mailed right back and said, “No problem! I can help Chase after school anytime. ” And I said, “No, not him. Me. He gets it. Help me. ”
And that’s why I stayed with Chase’s maths teacher. We talked about teaching children. We agreed that subjects like maths and reading are not the most important things that are learned in a class. We also talked about something else.
And then she told me this.
Every Friday afternoon she asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down the names of people that they’d like to sit with the following week. She also asks the students to nominate(推荐)who is the most popular student that week. They needn’t write down their own names on the paper.
After the students go home, she takes out those pieces of paper and studies them. In fact, Chase’s teacher is not looking for a new seating chart(表)or “popular students”. She is looking for lonely children. She’s looking for the ones who don’t want to talk with others. She is finding out whose names are not noticed by their classmates. Then she gets to know who needs help.

I’m Dr. Martin. A few days ago, I surveyed children in Shanghai. The result shows that 18% of the young students in Shanghai have mental(心理的)problems. They often have a lot of worries and feel very unhappy. Some students feel worried because they have problems with their schoolwork. Others have problems getting along well with their parents or classmates. Here are two examples of them.
Su Mei, a 14-year-old school girl, is very afraid of exams. Though she studies hardest in her class, she can’t pass the exams. She can’t think of anything while she is having an exam. Now she is so worried about the coming exam that she can’t fall asleep for days.
Lucy is a middle school student who comes from a poor family. She does well in her studies. But she doesn’t have enough money to buy beautiful clothes, and her classmates always laugh at her. She hardly has a friend. So she always feels quite sad. She said that one day she might leave her home without telling her parents.
Those children who have mental problems won’t ask for help. They worry that others will laugh at them if they go to the doctor. How to help these children Mr. Ma, a famous expert, said that the most important thing that parents and teachers should do is care more about children. Trying to be their friends is also necessary.

请听第二篇短文, 回答第22~25 题。
Dear Tina,
I don’t know what to do about taking a one-day trip to the beach next Saturday. One of my classmates organized it. I really want to take it. But I have some problems. You know I have to look after my sister on the weekend. If I take the trip, nobody will look after her. Mom may not be happy.
The trip needs 100 yuan. I don’t have enough money, but I don’t want to ask Mom for it.
And if I go to the beach, I also need a pair of sunglasses. But I don’t have one.
Can you give me some advice
