Be able to use correct sentences and the present progressive tense to complete dialogue performances. 3、Be able to complete the discourse writing. (Talk about the weather, activities, feelings)
三、学习者分析 Through the study of Unit6 I'm watching TV, students have had a preliminary exposure to the present progressive tense and can use it correctly to state what is happening and respond to it. they have also had a preliminary exposure to the general questions of this structure and their responses. Learning difficulties: 1.Students cannot use sentence patterns to talk about weather conditions; 2.Students learn to use the present progressive tense to describe the activities of people in various weather contexts.

Step 1 Lead-in (00'50''— 02'46'') 激发兴趣,引出新课。 Greeting. Play a song about weather. Enjoy the song about the weather and sing along with it. 教师利用视频播放关于天气的歌曲,内容简单,歌词朗朗上口。同时,也是本节课的中心句,让学生提前感知。通过歌曲,引入到本节课所谈论的话题--天气,从而吸引学生注意力,为下面环节的学习做好铺垫。
Step 2 Learn the new words and the names of the places (02'46''— 15'22'') 和学生一起学习本节课的生词、不同的国家名字和句型,让学生学会对天气提问和进行回答。 T: Look at the pictures. How is the weather in the picture (Provide some pictures for Ss to learn the new words.) Help Ss to remember the new words and recognize the symbols of different weather. Lead Ss to sum up the rules of word formation. Let the students guess the weather in the ancient poems. Let Ss chant together. T: May Day is coming. Do you want to travel Do you like travelling Today we will have a virtual travel. Watch a video about the three different cities in the foreign countries. 8. Show some pictures of the cities and let Ss learn about the famous building in these cities. E.g. the CN Tower in Toronto. the Red Square in Moscow. Present a three-dimensional earth and let students know where the three cities are and what part of the earth our country is. Show the pictures and introduce the key sentence patterns of this lesson and let the students practice describing what kind of weather there is in different areas. Observe the pictures and try to describe the weather. Sa: It's sunny/ rainy/raining/windy/snowy/ snowing. Try to memorize the words and say them. Sum up the rules of word formation. n. +y adj. 4. Read the ancient poems carefully and guess what kind of weather is described in the ancient poems. 5. Chant together and slap the desk. 6. Answer the questions. 7. Learn about the three different cities and the country they are in. Learn the names and some information about them. Learn where the three countries are and where our homeland is located on Earth. Practice the conversation according to the picture. S1: How's the weather in Moscow S2: It’s snowy. S1:What are they doing S2: They are making a snowman. 教师利用希沃动画依次出示图片和单词,寓教于乐,直观地让学生理解表示天气的形容词和动词现在分词的用法,进行新单词的学习。通过生动、形象的图片,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。 教师通过希沃课件动画对比,让学生区分天气变化单词的词性变化,帮助学生直观理解单词的变法规则,帮助学生记忆。 本环节通过学科融合,把英语和语文古诗词连接起来。教师利用希沃课件中的蒙层,来揭示古诗的答案,激发学生学习的兴趣,帮助学生掌握本节课的生词。 教师把国家智慧教育平台视频资源进行整合,制作成适合于本节课内容的视频。通过播放视频,让学生初步了解各个城市所在不同的国家以及当地著名的建筑,为后面的听力练习奠定基础。 教师利用希沃课件里的学科工具插入星球,把英语学科和地理学科有效的融合,很好地激发了学生的兴趣,让学生对不同的城市所在的位置有了更清楚地认识,为下面句子练习讨论天气变化做好了准备。
Step3 Pre-listening. (15'22''— 17'12'') 完成1a,并预测天气和人物活动。 Ask the Ss to finish 1a. Look at the picture and let Ss answer the questions. How is the weather What are they doing Ask the Ss to understand the instruction in 1b. Match the words with the pictures. Check answers by making complete sentences. Sa: It's sunny in Beijing. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. Read the instruction about the names of the cities in 1b. 教师通过希沃课件展示课本图片,开展练习,引导学生完成1a。
Step 4 While-listening. (17'12''— 21'56'') 进行听力训练,完成1b。 Play the recording for the first time, let Ss match the cities with the weather conditions. And invite some Ss to report their answers. For the second time, let Ss fill in the blanks. Play the video for Ss to enjoy and repeat. Listen to the conversation and write these city names in the boxes. Check their answers by making sentences. Sa: It's windy in Boston. Listen again and complete the conversations. 4.Watch a video and read after the video and imitate the pronunciation and intonation. 教师通过希沃课件插入音频,学生可以有效的进行听力训练。 教师通过希沃插入提前制作好的听力材料视频,直观、生动的帮助学生理解听力材料的内容,并让学生模仿练习,为下面口语练习打好基础。
Step 5 Post-listening. (21'56''— 26'24'') 根据听力材料,进行对话练习,能正确的表达天气变化。 T: Imagine you are in one of the places in 1a. Talk about the weather with your friend on the phone. Ask Ss to finish the exercises about the weather idioms. Practice the conversations with their partners. Sa: Hello. Linda. This is Bob. Sb: Hi, Bob. Sa: How's the weather in Toronto Sb: It's raining. How's the weather in Shanghai Sa: It's cloudy. Think carefully and finish the answers. 教师利用希沃课件课堂活动里的选词填空,进行本节课内容的拓展,让学生掌握关于天气的习语。并提前设定正确答案,学生完成后可以进行自检,查漏补缺,帮助学生高效的掌握天气的习语。
Step 6 Work in pairs: The Weather Report (26'26''— 43'08'') 开展小组活动,进行the weather report。 Offer the structure to guide Ss have a weather report. Work in pairs. Ask Ss to choose three or four cities and make a weather reporter. It should include(包含)the useful expressions. Let Ss show their weather report and give them assessment. Let Ss do some exercises. Learn how to have a weather report. Work in pairs. Two students give a weather report in front of the class.
