1 model n.模型;模特 eg：You can see pictures of many models of cars. 你可以看到许多汽车模型的照片。 model的复数形式是models，表示“模型”时，常与车辆、飞机等连用表示“…… 的模型”。 eg：His father can make model planes. 他的爸爸会制作飞机模型。 2 design /di'zain/ n.设计,构思，vt.设计 eg：Can you design a new kind of car 你能设计一款新车吗？ 1) 及物动词design后面直接跟代词或名词（词组）作宾语。固定短语：design sth. for sb. “为某人设计某物”。 eg:I’d like to design a ring for my mother.我想为我妈妈设计一枚戒指。 2) design还可作名词，意为“设计，图案， 花样”。designer是表示人的名词，意为“设计者”。 eg：What do you think of the design of the new house 你认为这个新房子的设计怎么样？ I think he is the best designer. 我认为他是最好的设计者。 3 Here is my design for a shirt, a jacket Jeans and a pair of trainers.统领全文法:此句是这篇文章的中心句，起到概括全文的作用，下面的内容都是围绕此句进行的。我们在写这类文章的时候，要注意可先总写，然后再按要点一一展开来写。 4 any other colour 为“any + other + 单数名词" 结构，意为“其他任何……”，通常指在同一范 围内的任何事物或人。 eg: New York is larger than any other city in America. 纽约比美国的其他任何一个城市都大。 “any +单数名词”表示不同范围内的“任何……”。 eg: Shanghai is larger than any city in South Korea. 上海比韩国的任何一个城市都大。 【测一测】 China is larger than in Africa.
