They feed on bamboo. They mainly live in some forests and mountains in Sichuan Province, Gansu Province and Shaanxi Province. Now the number of pandas is getting smaller and smaller, because people cut down many trees and they can't find enough food and don’t have enough space to live in. So the Chinese government is thinking about ways to protect them, such as building research bases and teaching people about the importance of saving pandas. Besides these, the government is also planting more bamboo trees so there will be more forests for pandas to live in.
