Step 1 Warm-up & Lead-in
Enjoy some photos of farms and farm activities — to make Ss interested in farms.
【设计意图】本课的开始,通过请学生欣赏和农场相关的图片,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动交流的积极性。从图片中不难发现,我们的生活和农场息息相关,我们可以在农场骑马、与动物玩耍,从农场上获得新鲜的肉类,乳品和蔬果,这些都离不开农民们的辛勤工作。从而进入今天的主题 help Tom on the farm。
Step 2 Feed the animals -to get some eggs

【设计意图】在这一环节中,我通过问答的形式,引导学生关注动物所在位置的远近,复习本单元的特殊疑问句What are these/those 及其回答They’re …(s). 和一般疑问句Are these/those… 及其回答Yes, they are./ No,they aren’t.在猜测动物时,不仅可以从外形,我还引导学生从它们的食物这一角度进行思考,顺势拓展相应的食物类和动物类名词。并用chant 的形式进行巩固,再让学生进行创编,进行综合运用。

Tips:大多数可数名词的复数形式是在单词后加上“s”,部分名词有特殊的复数形式!例如:sheep单复数同形,mouse有特殊的变化形式mice

【设计意图】在这一环节,我充分抓住学生对视听类活动的喜爱,通过请学生听动物发出的声音,猜测动物和其所在位置的远近。接着通过the farm animal concert,拓展了歌曲中的动物类名词及他们的叫声,既是对song time板块的拓展和延伸,也为学生自主发现、总结名词复数形式变化规律提供了素材,引导学生初步感知一些特殊的名词复数形式。

【设计意图】这一环节中,我通过灌溉果树、采摘水果、检查水果这三项活动,把农民辛勤照料果园为我们输送鲜甜水果的形象呈现在了孩子们面前。在灌溉果树这一活动中,由单数到复数句式的提问,引导学生感知,名词修饰其他名词,通常不需要使用复数形式,例如一棵苹果树an apple tree,几棵苹果树apple tress。采摘和检查水果这两个环节,通过游戏的形式,对“What are these/those They are ...”等句型进行进一步巩固和操练,体现复习课的综合性和梯度性。引导学生感知,They are后也可以加上多个复数名词或单数名词,并提醒学生关注不定冠词an的使用。

【设计意图】这一环节中,我们通过帮助Tom完成任务,获得了鸡蛋、牛奶和水果这些素材。利用这些素材,聪明的Tom为他的妈妈制作了健康美味的水果冰激凌,揭示了我串联起本堂课活动的一个伏笔,顺势巩固Sound time中辅音字母m的发音。Think and write环节,我给出关键词,请学生结合本堂课的各项活动完成填空,既是对本节课内容的回顾与梳理,又从之前着重对听说读的训练,提高到这一环节的写和运用,课后作业中,也有相应要求学生仿照进行农场的介绍的要求。最后,通过升华主题,引导学生珍惜粮食、尊重农民的劳动,达成本堂课情感、态度、价值观上的育人目标。
