Analysis of the teaching material 教学素材分析 Lesson type analysis 课型分析 As the last part of topic 1 -when is your birthday, this section is mainly aimed to make students review what have been learned in section A,B and C and then hear two dialogues and write a passage.Through speaking practise of the sentence patterns about how to express dates in English, how to ask about a person’s birthday,how to ask about the shape, length, width of a thing, students have to recognize a dialogue and write a three -paragraphed article titled as the plan for my mother’s birthday . 本课是话题一--“你的生日在何时”的复习部分。该部分的教学目的是检测学生前三个部分的学习。通过对A.B.C三个部分的基本句型的复习:用英语表达日期,询问别人的生日,问答物体的形状,长度和宽度,学生要听出两个有关礼物的对话和写出一个三段式的文章-介绍为母亲生日做的计划。
The lesson type is post-review listening and writing , which is linked by the revision of the former three sections. Enough speaking practice of the sentence patterns can be used as a stimulus for listening and writing, which are the output and a test of the students’ learning before. 课型是复习后听和写,复习是课程的主线。足够的对话练习可以促进最后的产出-听出对话和写出文章。

Process 过程 Activities Greet the students and use a sentence- It is a good day to lead in the lesson. Then review four sets of functions learned in section A, B,C 1.Review expressions about date (give students some important days to arouse their interest ) 1)What is the date today What was the date yesterday When is...day T-sts activity 2)ask students to ask and answer questions in pairs When were you born When was your mother born Students activities: Show time: .two students show their dialogues; .two other students listen for the numbers and have a match:One is to write down the numbers of the date and the other one is to circle the date on the screen. Time: 6 minutes T-Sts activity St-st activities Purpose: review how to express dates with months and ordinal numbers 2.ask about the shape of the pictures Ask students to measure the length and width of their textbooks and exercise books and answer the questions. How long is your English textbook How wide is it Time: 3 minutes T-Sts activity 教学活动 1.复习询问日期的句型,用特殊的日期提问学生用月份和序数词表达日期,中间设计学生的说,听和比赛。 2.复习表示物体形状和长宽的句型, 有学生的亲自测量和图形展示。

Sentence pattern 2 句型二 The teacher show a picture of a family photo and ask students -Who does the boy live with -He lives with his parents and sister. Then ask students ask and answer questions in pairs. Who do you live with 用一张父母孩子在家的照片提问学生男孩和谁住在一起。后同桌问答你和谁住在一起。用时1分钟
Sentence pattern 3 句型三 The teacher show a picture of a house to ask students question:How many floors(层) are there in the building There are two floors. Then ask students to ask and answer questions in pairs: How many floors are there in your home 用一张房子的图片问答问题,这个房子有几层,然后同桌问答你家房子有几层。用时1分钟。
Sentence pattern 4 句型四 Show a picture with the sentence: It is a house with two floors. Then two more pictures to ask students to use the sentence.It is a house with ... 以图片引出句子:这是有两层的房子。更多图片练习让学生懂得with介词表示有的用法。用时2分钟
Group work:talk about one’s home 小组活动做为检测 1.--What kind of home do you live in --I live in a/an…. / It’s a house with…floors. 2.--Who do you live with --I live with my… 3.--How many floors are there in your home --There are… floors in my home. 4.--Do you like living there --Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. I like living in a/an… 二人小组句型操练和对话演示让更多的学生参与到讲英语的过程中。 用时6分钟
Step3 Return to textbook From speaking to listening 以说促听 回归教材 Kang kang and Wang Wei are talking about the houses they live in. Let’s listen. 1.Listen and match the picture of houses with names of people. 2.Listen and answer questions, the questions are a hint for the later listening. And the teacher lead students to draw a mind map on the blackboard to show the line of the story- help Michael rent a house and get ready for the following listening. 从谈论学生自己的家到听康康和王维谈论他们的家,这部分是课文内容的听力。该环节设计了听后搭配图片和听后回答问题两个大题。从问题中引导学生得出故事的主线-迈克尔没有房子需要租房子,引出下文的听力。用时4分钟。
Role play and retell 分角色朗读后复述课文 Give students some hint to ask students to retell the passage. What kind of home,live in, a townhouse,floors,an apartment, grandparents, a big farmhouse, in the country,look for 给学生提示词,降低复述难度。用时5分钟。
Listening exercise two -how do Kangkang and Wangwei help Michael 听力练习二 - 康康和王维如何帮助迈克尔? Ask students to listen and do multiple choice exercises. 1.What kind of home does Michael want to rent 2. Michael wants to rent a room under _____ a month. 3. Who does Michael live with 4. What do they want to write From the dialogue, students can get the requirements of Michael for renting a house. It is a preparation for the following writing. 从对话中,学生可以听到迈克尔对所要租住房子的要求。这是对接下来写作的准备。 用时4分钟。
Reading to know how to write 阅读讨论总结知道如何写 Use a picture to show where we can see ads“room wanted”“for rent” and ask students to discuss about the basic elements for a “room wanted” and a “for rent”. Ask students to read the ads in Yushancun Community bulletin board and fill in the blanks. 使用现实中的小区公示栏让学生进入情境,让学生讨论房屋求租和出租广告的需要涉及的信息。让学生阅读课本上榆山村社区公示栏后填空。用时3分钟。
Exercises to consolidate 巩固练习 Students do exercises to practice. They can choose from the two exercises, one is to write a “for rent” and the other one is to write a “room wanted” for Michael.The first exercise is assigned in Chinese and the other one comes from the second listening exercises. Each student get an answer shit which can be stuck and shown on the screen. The teacher shows the good works. 学生做题目来练习如何写求租和出租广告。他们可以从两个练习中选择,一个中文的练习题写个出租广告,另一个是为迈克尔写一个求租广告,来源是第二个听力题。给每个学生发一张可以粘贴并展示的作答纸。展示优秀作品。 用时10分钟。
Summary and homework 总结和作业 Ask students to summarize what they have learned . Homework: ask students to write a mini article about their homes. Write a “for rent” for Miss Li. 学生总结今天学到的内容。用时1分钟。 作业:写一个有关自己家的小短文和为李小姐写一个出租广告。
