It is very necessary to make an invitation, because it is a good way to show our appreciation and love to our friends, parents, teachers.
Life needs a
sense of ritual!
1. invite (v.) 邀请
(1) invite sb.
Eg: I invited her in for a coffee.
Why don‘t you invite them here
(2) invite sb. to do sth.
Eg: Jack invited his best friend to have 20th birthday party on the weekend.
(3) invite
Eg: I haven't been invited.
invitation(n.)
make / turn down / accept an invitation
2. Thanks for 因……
Eg: Thanks for your help.
Thanks for coming.
Thanks for teaching us well.
Thank you for telling me the truth.
Thank you for your invitation.
Eg: Thanks to your help, I succeeded in getting a good job.
3. available(adj.)
Eg: Are you available tomorrow morning
= Are you free tomorrow morning
= Do you have time tomorrow morning?
Eg: I’m afraid I’m not available to help with the school show on the 19th.
Eg: Sorry, the number you dialed is not available.
Eg: Please hand in your homework by 6 p.m.
Eg: I learn English by singing English songs.
Eg: I go to school by bike.
Eg: They went camping by the river.
She was sitting in a chair by the window.
5. Hope you can make it !
Eg: If we run, we should make it.
Eg: Though it was difficult, they still made it.
6. so that & so...that
so that 1.
so…that 表结果,“如此…
Tell me her address
so that I can find her.
The box is so heavy
that I can’t carry it.

Please reply in writing to this invitation by Friday, December 20th.
Did you reply to these letters
You should get your homework ready by Friday.
Remember: Friday is the last day!
Can you come and meet me before Friday
I’ll be away early Friday morning.
