Plant-based milks have been growing in popularity for years, but the nutritional content of different milks and milk alternatives varies.
The global dairy alternatives market is projected to grow from $22. 25 billion in 2021 to $53. 97 billion in 2028, according to a report by Fortune Business Insights. In February 2022, the world's first potato milk launched in the UK, which is described as being “deliciously creamy” and is advertised as “the most sustainable plant-based dairy alternative on the market.”
While some people turn to dairy alternatives, the dairy milk industry is defending its product. It is reminding people that cow's milk is an excellent source of calcium (钙) , protein, and vitamin D. It's also more hydrating (保湿) than water, according to a small study by St Andrews University in Scotland. However, some people shun dairy because of intolerance or environmental concerns, and for some, the concern is health.
Plant-based milks are not necessarily healthier than dairy, and when following a plant-based diet, dietitians recommend ensuring your dairy-free milk alternatives contain essential vitamins and minerals. "Choose milk alternatives that contain vitamins such as vitamin B12 and vitamin D, in addition to the mineral calcium, "said dietitian Nichola Ludlam-Raine.
Nutritional content of milks varies, with some offering more fiber, fat, protein sugar, and calories than others. For example, unsweetened almond (杏仁) milk is a low-calorie choice, but low-fat cow's milk offers the most protein. Cow's milk, for example, contains lots of calcium and vitamin D, as well as protein. Bean milk is often rich in calcium, and is also high in protein. Therefore, we consumers should always keep in mind the nutritional information when choosing which milk to have in our coffee, on our cereal (麦片) , or alongside a cookie.
28. What does the underlined word“shun”in Paragraph 3 probably mean
A. Reach out for. B. Turn away from.
C. Are addicted to. D. Speak highly of.
29. What suggestion do dietitians give to consumers choosing plant-based diet
A. Having milk alternatives without protein.
B. Turning to dairy-free milk alternatives.
C. Drinking both cow's milk and plant-based milks.
D. Choosing plant-based milks with basic nutritional content.
30. How is unsweetened almond milk different from low-fat cow's milk
A. It is richer in protein. B. It offers less fat and sugar.
C. It produces fewer calories. D. It contains more vitamin
31. What is the author's attitude towards plant-based milks
A. Objective. B. Supportive. C. Skeptical. D. Unconcerned.

Over the years, education technology has changed so greatly that it may be challenging to keep up with all the changes.
Online learning has changed a lot over the years. There was a time when learning mostly occurred when the students and the teachers were in the same place. Now, it is possible for a student in Kenya to attend classes in China, do their exams, pass and get their certificates Remember the days when, if you needed a textbook, you either had to go to the library or to buy a physical copy Now, there are many books you can find online. With Open Educational Resources, it is possible to find digital versions of some resources like textbooks. You can save the money for something else.
Long gone are the days when some few individuals held most of the knowledge, and the rest learned from them. Now, thanks to the Internet, anyone can learn and teach.
Take blogs for example. With blogs, anyone can give an account of their activities and their opinions, and discuss places they have visited on their websites. Of course, there are drawbacks to the technological advancement. One of the main problems is that it is easy for someone to publish wrong information.
Artificial intelligence is changing many ways of the education industry, from teaching to administration. For example, Al can be used to monitor a student's progress and give reports to the teachers. Teachers can use Al to analyze students'records and results and give feedback. Some universities are even using AI to teach.
When it comes to education technology, it is clear that some technological advancements were not directly created for education but have made learning more accessible. For example, one may not consider social media as educational technology.
However, consider how many people who have similar ideas have been connected and shared information over social media with those who would not have met otherwise.
This adaptation of different technological tools from different fields is helping improve the quality of education for students everywhere.
32. What enables students in different countries to learn the same materials at the same time
A. Online learning. B. Online blogging.
C. Open Educational Resources. D. Artificial intelligence.
33. What is the main disadvantage of blogs
A. False information. B. Delaying feedback.
C. Conflicting opinions. D. Repeated resources.
34. What can we infer from the last paragraph
A. Education development is not necessarily a good thing.
B. Social media were created for education in the beginning.
C. Not all technological advancements promote education.
D. Technological advancements in other fields may benefit education.
35. What is the text mainly about
A. The new trend of future education. B. The development of education technology.
C. Advantages of modern education technology. D. Changes of artificial intelligence.

Our planet is made of about 70% water, and 97% of that water is salty. All the oceans-from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Arctic to the Indian-are all salty!
What is in ocean water, anyway 36But there are lots of other elements in the water, too. There are dissolved (溶解的) salts and minerals in ocean water. There are small amounts of many chemicals—even metals like gold!
Some of these elements enter the ocean through runoff, which is water that flows over the land and into streams, rivers and eventually into oceans.37 And the acid eats away at rocks and soil. As a result, tiny bits of minerals and salts join with the rainwater as runoff and make their way to the ocean.
Salt also comes from the depths of the ocean. Deep down on the ocean floor, thereare openings that push hot water into the ocean. The warm water from the openingscontains a lot of dissolved minerals. These include more salt. A similar reaction happens when underwater volcanoes erupt. The seawater surrounding the volcano reacts with the hot rocks of the volcano.38
39 You may have heard of the Great Salt Lake or the Dead Sea. These salty lakes are usually very large, and they form inland (not connected to the ocean) . Believe it or not, some of these lakes can be ten times saltier than the ocean!
As droughts become more common and more severe, many hope that we could one day get more of our drinking water from the ocean.40 However, it is not an easy process. Salt dissolves in water so easily that it is hard work to separate them.
A. It is mostly made up of water, of course.
B. There are some lakes that are very salty.
C. There is a way to remove salt from seawater
D. As you might already know, rainwater is mildly acidic.
E. But runoff isn't the only reason that ocean water is salty.
F. Minerals and salts from those rocks dissolve into the ocean water.
G. Oceans may tend to be less salty where there is a lot of rainfall.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Back last October, I was working at my desk when the phone rang. “Your order arrived. And the box is making a lot of noise,”he said.
I eagerly opened up the mailbox, and a pile of baby chicks—just a few days old—rolled onto the floor. They were so cute!
“Well,”I said to my husband, “we're now chicken people.”
That's right. I ordered 15 chicks in the mail. I didn't do it just for the eggs. Instead, I thought they might help with our mental health. They give us a reason to go outside every morning and evening, often around sunrise and sunset, to feed them, give them water and make sure they're safe in the hen-house for the night. They've also helped
my family learn how to transform negative emotions, such as anger, for positive emotions, such as wonder and awe.
And that's exactly what has happened with my family and the 11 beautiful hens we now have in our backyard (unfortunately, not all 15 chicks survived) . Every day the hens do mysterious and amazing things. “Like taking dirt baths,”says my 7-year-old daughter, Rosy. “Basically they dig a hole in the ground and rub their bodies in the dirt.”
One afternoon, we found one of the hens—we named her Carmel—on our roof. “How did she get up there Do chickens fly ” My husband asked. I had no good answer for him but instead just enjoyed the wonder at it. Then the next night, while we were making dinner, another hen named Marshmallow came to the kitchen window and just stared at us.
For me, the most impressive thing about chickens is their strange and mysterious sounds. When the chickens turned 5 months old, they started to make a sound like: buh buh, buy, bah-gawk, with a strong emphasis on the gawk. The pattern repeats over and over for a few minutes straight. When I heard this sound I immediately stopped what I was doing and thought, “What on earth are they trying to tell me ”
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Then one day, when I heard this special sound, I ran outside to the hen-house and looked inside. ___________
