语法探究
观察下面句子,思考句中画线部分的用法
(1)—How do you learn English 你怎样学英语?
—I learn by studying with a group. 我通过参加小组学习来学英语。
(2)Mary often goes to work by bus. 玛丽常乘公共汽车去上班。
(3)The girls are dancing by the lake. 女孩们正在湖边跳舞。

对应解析:
(1)“by+动词-ing”结构,意为“通过……的方式”,表示通过做某事而得到某种结果, 常用来回答“How do you ...?”或“How can I ... ”这类句型。
(2)“by+交通工具名词”意为“乘……;坐……”,表示交通方式。表示交通工具的名词用单数,前面不加任何冠词或物主代词。( 表乘坐时还可表示为take the/a +交通工具)
(3) by表示位置,意为“在……旁边;靠近……”
(4) by表示时间,意为“在……之前;不迟于……”。
