“find + it +adj. +to do sth.”“发现做某事……”，it为形式宾语，to do sth为真正的宾语。

2. What is the secret to language learning
“the secret to … ”“……的秘诀”，其中to 为介词，表示从属关系，意为“……的”，“secret”在此处用作可数名词，意为 “秘密；秘诀”。如：
Her age is a secret to us all.
她的年龄对我们大家来说是个秘密。
3. 1) The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time.
2) I want to learn new words and more grammar so that I can have a better understanding of English movies.
“so that ”意为“以便；为了”。引导目的状语从句。
“so ...that” 意为“如此……以至于”。引导结果状语从句。如：
The weather was so bad that he had to stay at home.
天气是如此糟糕，以至于他不得不待在家里。
You have to leave now so that you can catch the early bus.
你现在不得不离开以便于赶早班车。
4. I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor pronunciation.
1) be afraid to do sth. 意为“害怕做某事”。如：
I am afraid to travel by plane.我害怕乘飞机旅行。
2) be afraid of sb/ sth. “害怕某人/某物”。如：
Are you afraid of snake 你怕蛇吗？
3) be afraid that 从句. “担心……”。如：
I’m afraid that you are wrong. 恐怕你错了。
