教学过程
Step 1 Review and lead in Free talk with the students about Candy Wang from 3a and show some sentences with used to / didn’t use to on the screen. Step 2. Presentation 1. Ask students to observe the red parts (used to/ didn’t use to) in the sentences and generalize that we can use the sentence patterns to talk about the past when we talk about changes. 2. Explain the usage of used to from the following aspects 1)意义:表示过去习惯性的动作或状态而现在已不再这样。 2)结构:used to be … / used to do sth 3)句式变化: She used to wear glasses. She didn’t use to wear glasses. Did she use to wear glasses Yes, she did. / No, she didn’t. She used to wear glasses, didn’t she She didn’t use to wear glasses, did she ? Yes, she did. / No, she didn’t. 4)Tell the differences of the following structures: used to do sth 过去做某事 be used to doing sth 习惯做某事 be used to do sth 被用来做某事 5. Ex. 1 Choose the right answer She used to _____ in a restaurant a lot, but now she is used to _____ at home. A. eat, eat B. eating, eat C. eat, eating 6. Ex.2 Correct the mistakes in the sentences. 1) She used to silent. 2) Gina didn’t used to play sports. 3)Billy used to be study hard. 4) Billy used to be short hair. 5) My mom used to not like apples. Conclude: Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, we can learn from mistakes. Step 2. Activity 4a 1. Teach the new words: European, African, British, 2. Show and example. 3. Students do the exercises 4. Check the answers with students. Step 3. Activity 4b 1. Lead in: I have a friend, her name is Emily. Here is some information about her. Please write about her changes. 2. Show an example. 3. Further questions: Is Emily a better person Why or why not Conclude: She is a better person, because she makes some good changes. Step 4. Activity 4c 1. Teach the new words: speech, in public 2. Tell students my changes with the sentence pattern used to do/be. 3. Shoe the interview of Chen Zitong and ask students to check the boxes according to the video. 4. Report Chen Zitong’s changes. 5.
